Yes because God made us stewards of this earth and He blesses those who show themselves to be good stewards.

Life in a Peaceful New World
When you look at the scene on this tract, what feelings do you have? Does not your heart yearn for the peace, happiness, and prosperity seen there? Surely it does. But is it just a dream, or fantasy, to believe these conditions will ever exist on earth?
Most people probably think so. Today's realities are war, crime, hunger, sickness, aging—to mention just a few. Yet there is reason for hope. Looking to the future, the Bible tells of a "new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to [God's] promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell."—2 Peter 3:13; Isaiah 65:17.
These "new heavens" and "new earth," according to the Bible, are not a new material heavens or new literal earth. The physical earth and heavens were made perfect, and the Bible shows they will remain forever. (Psalm 89:36, 37; 104:5) The "new earth" will be a righteous society of people living on earth, and the "new heavens" will be a perfect heavenly kingdom, or government, that will rule over this earthly society of people. But is it realistic to believe that "a new earth," or glorious new world, is possible?
Well, consider the fact that such ideal conditions were part of God's original purpose for this earth. He placed the first human couple in the earthly Paradise of Eden and gave them a marvelous assignment: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it." (Genesis 1:28) Yes, God's purpose was for them to have children and eventually to spread their Paradise over all the earth. Although they later chose to disobey God, thus proving to be unfit to live forever, God's original purpose did not change. And it must be fulfilled in a new world!—Isaiah 55:11.
In fact, when you pray the Lord's Prayer, or the Our Father, asking for God's Kingdom to come, you are praying for his heavenly government to rid the earth of wickedness and to rule over this new world. (Matthew 6:9, 10) And we can be confident that God will answer that prayer, since his Word promises: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."—Psalm 37:29.

Yeah, well, until Jesus gets here and beams you up, please stop littering and start recycling because your ignorance is showing. The earth may not be your destiny, but as long as you're living here with me you better start acting right and stop believing that nonsense you heard in the movie theater.
This is foolishness! Your beliefs, or lack thereof, have nothing to do with global warming. Period. Read books by Dr. Helen Caldicott(If You Love This Planet...that's a good one...), put down your Bible for a minute and stop watching Fox News.

GOD made man stewards over the Earth HE created for man.
We SHOULD take care of it because HE may decide to leave us here longer than you may think.
The thing is though GREED will NOT permit that to happen.
Let me give an example, one of our ex senators Jesse Helms once made the foolish statement"
these EPA people are NUTS!They think the pollution standards should be so high that you can drink right out of the rivers".(paraphrased)
Well duh huh!Where does he think that our drinking water comes from? Not to mention the affect it has on wild life and vegetation.
Then you have 3rd world countries that are industrializing like China and their power plants run off coal which really makes a mess. Then the oil companies who OWN the car companies will NOT allow the manufacturers to make a large auto that gets decent gas mileage.Ever notice that the cars in the early 90's had more room same engine same horsepower and got better gas mileage?
Saw a minivan with a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder get 28 miles to a gallon whereas the same engine in a compact car only got 24 mpg.Figure that one out.
GOD will destroy this earth one day, but we can still try to do whats right until HE returns for us.

Earth is the Christian's destiny. Otherwise where is the location of Christ's kingdom in Earth after his second coming? He will be the King of the Earth when all earthly rulers bow and serve him alone here on the NEW EARTH.
You should mind the environment because is the home of tomorrow's Christians, our children and grandchildren. You are harming them when you pollute!
That said, global warming is a big Hoax! Humans are, at most, responsible for 5% of greenhouse gases, but less than 0.5% if you count in water vapor, a main greenhouse gas in its own right. If all the draconian measures proposed by the eco-fascists would be implemented, the global temperature predicted might drop ONLY two tenths of a degree.
The Earth has been 2 -5 degrees warmer in the last 5-10 thousand years, and its cycles between warmer and cooler in apparent solar cycles.
Eco-fascism is the next element of control. Brace yourselves.

even if you Christians believe that you'll be rewarded with a new planet despite your failed stewardship of this planet you still have no way of knowing when Jesus is gonna show up and tote your selfish, self centered, self involved, self aggrandizing butts off the planet. it could be 20 generations from now for all you know and in the meantime the children who will inherit this planet THIS PLANET are stuck living in the trashed and polluted mess we've made. you're damn Skippy you had better clean up after your self! this is NOT your planet to toss off like a filthy pamper because you're done crapping on it. other people and other livings things live here too.
grrrrrrrrr! i come as close to hate as one can get without spitting when i encounter Rapture Christians.

I think we should just from the human standpoint. No religion involved. I don't understand when people believe it's a scam. Humans are animals, all animals have a will to survive. Our brains are developed well enough to understand that either global warming is occurring, or another one of nature's cycle's is repeating itself. Either way, we will probably die. So why is it so hard of a concept to stop this cycle, whether it's global warming or not?
Too many people get hung up on whether or not global warming is occurring. Even if it's not, wouldn't you like to take preventative measures to prevent death of the human race in the long run?!?

I haven't seen the movie so I can not comment on it.
Was it a spiritual question or a phyiscal question?
If it was the 'dirt' earth they were talking about the answer would be this...
In the garden of Eden, God to Adam to keep the garden.
We are also suppose to be a good example to others. Clean up after yourself by all means.
Keep in mind that secular people promotes the global warming controversity. Most of the Enviromentalist, seems to me, don't believe in God.
Just pick up after yourself. Respect Gods Earth....and know that the way the world is going...lol we will not be here for long...so why worry about the end of the world from global warming.
Has Global warming ever been proven anyway?

Okay look dude. Global warming and the envirorment has nothing to do with God or Jesus. It has to do with the mistakes we humans have made. It has something to with the car you drive, not recycling, and bunches of other stuff but NOT GOD. If you plan on having young children die because you believe that God or Jesus decided to take us to our happy place, you are wrong.
Not only will you be killing everyone on this planet but you will also be killing the future generation, your own kids. Do you honestly think that God would just all of a sudden decide to send us all the the happy place?
Think about it dude? Do you really plan on dying soon? Trust me you don't.

I never saw Jesus Camp but as a Christian (Catholic to be exact) I am appalled at that. The earth was made for us and it was a gift from God, so why would we treat it like s***? That is really ignorant thinking on their part, and it really makes me angry to see how some people here in America can destroy such a beautiful religion, with such close-minded thinking. Global warming is very real, and you will experience its effects b/c you are now.

Wow. Well, no, we should not worry. Be anxious in nothing but in all things give thanks... But we should care by all means, and contribute to the good. Don't follow any movie to decide what it means to be Christian, read the Bible (begin with the Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) Remember that we are meant to be blameless. We are also to live in love.
My personal answer --- I love Jesus --- and in that love, I hurt when the earth is harmed. Dumping rubbish sounds hateful, not only to the living earth but to the people who care about it.
