Two provisions: It has to be tangible and you have to buy it.

I know this is a P&S question but you guys are more fun!

I saw this lady with a dog at Mc Donalds today. Nobody said anything, but i saw lots of people make faces.
I've seen people take dogs to the bank, home depot (not that bad, but still not allowed) and places where people eat.
I know some people think its ok to take small dogs places, but i would never presume its ok, small dogs or big.
Who agrees with me?
who disagrees?

I dont mean seeing eye dogs, i mean pets.

IN the sense it's the only belief system that you don't have to "please" an angry God you just accept his love and his death on the cross, his spirit and his gifts and what he did for you. Just receive his love. How many stories of his love have you heard lately? And how many lives he has transformed for no reason other than it pleases him to bless you???????
Isn't this just good news??? Have we become so cynical as a society we cannot receive his love anymore? That would be just sad.

I moved into a new neighborhood some time ago to discover that I was the only non-Indian living here. I have noticed that many cars are smashed - they appear to have many accidents. Office lady told me they almost ran over a toddler the other day as he was playing around (they had put a sign not to drive faster than 10 miles an hour but no one appeared to respect that). I see many little temples hanging out of their windows (yellow and red colored especially) and I could inhale some odor as if they burn stuff all the time. Some elderly spit frequently. I said "hi" few times and didn't get a single response. A lady looked at me in a strange way as I greeted her. I feel I am living in a ghost town. I am thinking of writing a novel about it :-)

Of course, it could be an isolated incident :-)

People in pain are not the best audience, and most of them do not appreciate empty promises and threats of even more pain after death. Do they even realize that there are some places that you need to keep your beliefs to yourself?

Before anybody says it, I've never met a patient who "appreciates" being harassed while they are in pain (and I've met thousands as a medical professional and as a patient).

I read posts here on Chrisianity and over half the people say they are atheists. Why don't they see His love? Why do people hate? I am really not trying to accuse of anything though. Im just curious.

I think I have communicated with dead. Espicailly at night. It sometimes scary the souls that talk to me. My mother had a vision of exactly what I would look like while she was pregnant with me. I saw my deceased grandfathers when I was four. I have i guess visions when i dream. Which have come true. So as I had a reaccurring dream when i was about 4 or 5 of a symbol than about 6 years later i saw it on tombstone on a hike while on vacation. Also I saw my dog die while i was on vacation while he was still at home and when i came back he was dead with no previous illness.
Is there an age limit to beinga crystal child?
Do you think I am one?

Doesn't that put us women in a special condition? God needed a womb, but no sperm. Don't you think we are blessed and... essential? At least, in this example, we were, and what an example!

I am not feminist, but I know we women have suffered a lot of discrimination for centuries and centuries, and yet we are strong, wise and essential.

About an hour ago I asked the following question: how can an all loving God consign people to eternal torment? The most common answer I received is that while God is loving, He is also just.

To say that God is just is to say that He practices justice, which the Oxford American Dictionary defines as: the quality of being fair and reasonable.

My question is this: how is infinite punishment for finite sin "fair and reasonable." A just punishment should be equal to the wrong committed, should it not?

The age at which He was baptized was the law of public ministry, it was required. Now, if Jesus had been baptized by any other way other than by sprinkling of water (as it said at that time), would Jesus have broken God's law for public ministry? Some say He was imerged in water by His cousin John the Baptist. What's your take on this whole subject?

This may seem like a stupid question if read at only face value. but seriously, Hanukah began 200 years before Christ was born. Jesus celebrated Hanukah as a young Jew. Jews and Christians BOTH use the old testament and follow it as gospel. The main difference between the two religions is bacically Christians believe in the New Testament and that Christ has already been on the Earth. Jews do not believe in the New Testament portion of the bible as they do not believe that the son of God has visited the Earth yet and are still in waiting. Since Hanukah falls under the old testament portion of the Bible and is even talked about in the book of Deuteronomy SOOOO..... Why then do Christians not celebrate it?

When you are out at a restaurant, are you not supposed to tip on the wine. I had a nice meal with friends this evening and we had three bottles of wine which cost a total of $150. When we were paying the bill, one of the guys insisted that we need not tip for the wine just on the food. Our total bill was over $700 and we gave a $140 tip, was this enough. should we not have tipped on the wine?
