You are supposed to love someone while they continue to do bad things to you.
You however don't need to stick around or tolerate it while they continue doing it.

Jesus was asked how many times must I forgive someone.
He said 70 times 7. You see forgiveness is for your benefit because you will carry the weight of your own anger or hate on your shoulders as long as you cannot forgive. You will continue to bring up happening and play it over and over because you cannot forgive them. Forgiveness is different that letting yourself be abused by someone. You should not be anyone's door mat to wipe their feet on. Even the angels say you have a right to defend yourself. Turning the other cheek was not words to say allow someone to strike you again. It means forgiveness. Jesus said, you shall reap what you sew. If you forgive, then it will come back to you. You will release it from you. It is also said, how can you be forgiven if you cannot forgive. Don't allow someone to bully you, They may hurt you but they can't stop you from forgiving them.
I did not say that you will be able to do this because it is difficult to do something you have been conditioned differently. It is easier understood if you try it sometime. You may not forget, but that may come in time as well, after you forgive.

My response presupposes a christian mindset so sorry if it doesn't apply. In Matthew 18:21 when asked how many times a man should be forgiven Jesus responds "I tell you not 7 times but 77 times" The use of this number actually meant an infinite number of times. He does not say you have to put up with being around them though and reinforces that earlier in the chapter in verses 15-17 saying in the end "treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector'.

Yes you are to forgive them and take authority over the devil and his people. The bible says that Jesus Came to destroy the works of satan. Satan comes to steal kill and destroy and he uses people. So you can forgive the person and stand up to the evil all at the same time. If someone is doing bad things to you either make them stop or trust God for a way of escape because that's his will for you it's in his word.

You are supposed to Forgive them and remove yourself from the situation. If you continue to allow it then you are the one who is at fault.

Yes. But you ALSO tell them that their actions are unacceptable, require them to be accountable and make restitution where applicable, and you remove yourself from the situation and don't put yourself in a position where they can continue to do bad things to you.
But always forgive them, and let it go. To dwell on these things only keeps it active in your mind. It will breed resentment, anger, and negative feelings in you.

Yes, but stay away from them..forgiveness implies that you are not going to take vengeance upon them. Just don't go there.
Forgiveness also includes that you can talk to them and tell them they are hurting your feelings or what they are doing is very offensive.

Why do you want someone else to tell you how to live your life?
They don't know the circumstances involved and they don't have the same experiences in life that you have so you can't expect someone else to tell you what decisions you should make. What seems right to someone else may seem like the wrong choice to you, or vice versa.

forgiving people is more for you than it is for the person you forgive. what God wants is for you not to harbor hate for a person but to just forgive them. but you can forgive someone but not allow them around you so that they wouldn't have a chance to hurt you again.
