I thought this was very interesting which did start a huge debate.

You have been choosen and a few thousands to leave Earth, a planet that will be destoryed of all life on it.

There are millions of people that will be left behind but out of the millions serveral groups of people where choosen to havea chance of leaving the planet. Why did you choose each person? What good will they be to this new planet?

Also the planet is unknown.

I am catholic and i'm about to baptism my 1 year old daughter and i want my aunt to be the God mother but she is Baptist. Is that ok? or does the god mother and father have to be Catholic?

I love to discover things like what a dream means, or you know cold cases i like to find out how people died and how people speak to the dead and stuff like that out! i am just a really weird person. i mean i can walk in a room at the same time as someone else and knowtice the one thing they dont! I can look at a pic of anything and find something strange about it! why am i like this! i have the stranges dreams too! i ask really weird questions and they only make sence to me! anyone got an answer to this question?

so im not in no way gay...bi... lesbian... but a gay friend of mine had been gettting close to me... we are both females and one day she was at my house and she ended up kissing on my neck.... before i knew it we were "dry humping"... its like crazy between the both of us now... she knows im not like that and we so crossed the line. we talked about it but i want to just believe it never happened. its not as big as actually having sex but we did kiss a lot. I would not say i liked it but i enjoyed being turned on. I dont know... im a virgin and just moved out a house where i was a church girl so i never even had a boy friend.... im not confused but im just like.... did i really just go that far with someone and a girl at that. please share. AHHH

"That notion that things can just get changed is scary for a lot of people who worry that a church with a very strong authority center could influence a public leader by suddenly getting a new revelation that has an impact on public policy." This was said by Rev. Mouw, of the Southern Baptist church, about the LDS church, and having a Mormon in the Oval Office. My question is, what revelation could POSSIBLY impact public policy to THIS degree? I don't know what revelation could possibly be this important?

Does it really affect you, atheists? If you really believe what you say you do, according to what I know about it, you have no reason to care what other people believe about religion! If it doesn't hurt you, and it doesn't hurt those who do practice religion, why do you spend so much time trying to convert everyone else to atheism?

why do you bother coming on Y/A and debating?

Don't say it's because religious people are annoying. That's not a thoughtful answer.

A woman, calling Mount Sinai Hospital, said, "Hello, I want to know if a patient is getting better."

The voice on the other end of the line said, "What is the patient's name and room number?"

My friend Lucretia has had a near death expereince, when she was 11, she was playing with her dads gun, and shot herself. She said she saw the light, and heard a voice say "It's not your time." Has this happened to anyone else?
