If forced to move to a new planet what five people would you take?

I thought this was very interesting which did start a huge debate.

You have been choosen and a few thousands to leave Earth, a planet that will be destoryed of all life on it.

There are millions of people that will be left behind but out of the millions serveral groups of people where choosen to havea chance of leaving the planet. Why did you choose each person? What good will they be to this new planet?

Also the planet is unknown.

So which five would you choose for the new world?

I got this from a job test we were taking, and it did take everyone about 20 minutes to shut up..lol and somehow we took sides you can guess how...

Interesting question. I would take the two pregnant females, well as they are pregnant and could help start the population. I would take the two children as they would not be much older then the children being born. With them all being the same age they would have children all around the same age and so on. And the doctor to keep us all healthy so we can build the population. Hopefully the doctor would be a male and could have more children with the two females.

5 Year old black male - father in 10-12 years

I struggled with the last selection, but decided that it should be an able bodied male. It is not stated that the soldier would be male, but, even if it were female, they would be more likely to be fit and able to provide for 'the family'

This is rather stupid.

1.The pregnant woman, because eventualy you would have 6 people

2.A doctor- You can't have people dying off and the one with aids can't die off either.

3.The gay farmer- Gay people are entertaining, plus he can grow food.

4. A black female laywer- Shes rich, can help with money

5. The teacher- So when the other 3 reproduce, the new people can learn things.


Everything else is quite stupid to bring along.

Since I have been a soldier for a number of years, I wouldn't need to take a soldier, and I am atheist, two birds with one stone...

I picked these because it brings the most amount of people, and it gives them the best chance for survival in a new environment. assuming others think diffferently than I, there would be plenty of soldiers and little black boys and artists in teh other few thousand...

Both pregnant women, the doctor without aids, the vet and the farmer. Both the vet and the farmer would be required to procreate if only to stop inbreeding. The pregnant women are coming because they're like bringing two people. The vet, doctor and farmer are coming because their expertise will be needed. All will be required to have a lot of offspring.

A singer- a singer will be able to entertain the others
A Chef- a chef will be able to cook for the others
An Artist- an artist will be able to make a visual history for people to reference 100-1,000 years from then

Either doctor, for obvious reasons, so they can heal the sick.Yes, I would choose the doctor who didn't have aids first only because I don't want any of my five dying on me anytime soon. If there was no chance of that, I don't really care which one comes.

The famer, so we can grow food on this new planet.
