He did perform miracles also he predicted his death, how it was to come, predicted whom would betray him to death, that he would die, and rise again on the third day, and all of these predictions came true just as he said. He is the Son of God. An this can be proven by the findings of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other documents that were found in the same location about a man named Jesus Who claimed to be the Son of God and was stirring up controversy through out the land. And through scientific means of verification that we have today, This documentation ages close to 2000 years ago. If you do not believe me do some reasurch on it

Salaam Alaykum,
Because he is a highly regraded Prophet PBUH in Islam and was born from a virgin birth Maryam. And his return will be a sign of the end times. Sorry we believe Allah SWT and Jesus are not god as in a trinity sense . Jesus was the son of man and not the son of god and Allah SWT had so much mercy he would ascend him to heaven before EVER causing him the pain of the cruxifiction. As well as God being dead for three days. Riduculous. But believe what you want. Is that not what makes America the land of the free?
Wasalaam

John: Chap 10, verse 30. John 14: 6,7.8.9 for starters. There are so many other verses I can't count them all. He was known as the Son of God which indicates a share in the Divinity just as human son indicates a share in human nature.

okay firstly what is pbuh? is that people spitting the foul name of a FLASE GOD out of thier mouth?????
Secondly God is God, Jesus is the Son of God.
God is the one doing the miracles and the wonders and Jesus is the Vessel.
If I said my Hammer built a house you would laugh. Because the Builder built the house with ...... and this is the clincher ........................ THE HAMMER.
So now you understand how God worked through Jesus his Son to preform all the miracles,.

He forgave sins...He accepted praise...Paul or the apostles would not, even the very angels would not do this...But Jesus did... He said very clearly , He was "I am"...and it thru men backwards to the ground showing them and us if He didn't want to go with them it wasn't gonna happen......He said 'I and my Father are one' thereby making them equal..No one else made that claim before Jesus......Salvation was only in God, yet Jesus , said He was the way ...the only way ...the truth the only truth..the life ..the only life..When He quoted His Fathers words, He added ,But I say unto you...and it was always with authority...Jesus had attributes only God had..He displayed His power over creation,(fig tree) over nature,(the stormy sea) death (lazarus) and demons..Oddly demons knew exactly who He was and acknowledged it but humans more often than not didn't...and still do not....Jesus said " if ye hath seen me ye hath seen the 'Father'.....ect.....The list could go on... but I am out of time...gtg...Hope this helps ...Great question... :) Take care .......~Leah...

Jesus said he wasn't.
(JOHN 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
But he did have Almighty God's full authority to carry out the acts he did.
In fact he PRAYED for this ability.
Who was Jesus praying to?
He certainly was not praying to himself.

First, not all of God's prophets performed some of the miracles that Jesus performed.
Three in particular Jesus did that only God can do that no prophet ever did before jesus:
He rebuked demons and they had to obey.
He rebuked nature and the storm had to obey.
He forgave people of their sins.
This last one is of particular importance, so I will explain this in a little more detail.
If I hurt you, you can forgive me (or not - your choice).
If I hurt your neighbor, your neighbor can forgive me (or not - his choice).
BUT (and here's the big problem) if I hurt YOU, your neighbor can not forgive me; and likewise, if I hurt your neighbor, YOU can not forgive me.
In other words, only the person who was hurt or offended or sinned against can forgive someone.
Jesus gave a blanket statement. He said "Your sins are forgiven". He didn't say "I forgive you for the things you did to hurt ME."
He said "The things you did that hurt Fred, the things you did to hurt Sally, and the things you did to hurt God - I forgive you for ALL of them."
That is one of the rudest, most outlandish statements a person in his right mind can make! You can NOT forgive someone for hurting ME. And yet, that is exactly what Jesus did.
Next, when Jesus rebuked demons, I have to bring to your attention a Scripture from the Old Testament. It says that Michael the arch angel dared not send riling accusations against satan, but said "The LORD (Jehovah) rebuke you, satan. The LORD Jehovah rebuke you!" Jesus came along and said "I rebuke you, satan!" and satan had to obey! If only Jehovah God can rebuke satan, and Jesus was the ONLY person who EVER rebuked satan, and satan had to obey, that can mean only one thing - that Jesus IS the LORD Jehovah God!
When someone said to Jesus, "You are the anointed Son of God", Jesus said "That's right" (or, "You are correct", depending on which translation you read from.) When the high priest asked Jesus, "Tell me the truth. Are you the Son of the Most High God?" Jesus said "Yes, I am" (or "It is just as you said", depending on which translation you read from.")
When Jesus rebuked the demons (see the explanation above), the demons said "I know who you are. You are the son of God. Have you come to torment me before my time?"
You see, the friends of Jesus knew that Jesus was the Son of God, the enemies of Jesus knew that Jesus was the Son of God, and even the demons admitted that Jesus was the Son of God.
Are you stupider than everybody? EVERY body who knew Jesus knew that He claimed to be the Son of God!
800 years later, a man who hated Christians came along and said that Jesus is NOT the Son of God, even though he never lived with Jesus. Who are you going to believe, those who lived at the same time with Jesus? or an enemy of Jesus who didn't even know Him or live at the same time as He did?
Jesus is the Son of God, and since God can't have a second God, that means that Jesus IS God. "Even though He had the right to claim equality with God, yet He humbled Himself and took upon Himself the form of a man."
My answer only scratches the surface. I couldn't even begin to give you every situation in which Jesus proved to the people who lived with Him that He is the Son of God, and therefore, He is God, Himself!
