I want to know what really makes you know that God exists and is with you. I have read through alot of the answers to questions like this and found most of them say the same thing, "Christ reached me in a way that makes it impossible for me not to believe". please explain your story and elaborate on where this confidence comes from.

Well, I'm just wondering why it seems that Jews are kind of the pre-religion to christianity. "Jesus" was supposedly a Jew, they even called him the king of the jews. If i'm not mistaken, I think every story in the bible has jews in it. So why aren't christians jewish? Jesus Christ, was king of the jews, and christians follow jesus's teachings. I know that jews and christians have different beliefs, and the bible says that it was the jews that condemned jesus to the cross. Well why don't the christians think that the jews that did condemn him to the cross were under the influence of satan? I mean, it's the perfect ignorant excuse they use for everything else, like the inquisition and such. So why do christians treat jews like they are christian underlings? (They believe that only christianity is the right religion, and anyone that doesnt believe this will burn in hell, yet christians work so hard to protect the jews just so the jewish people can go on and burn in hell after death.)

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced Wednesday he will veto a bill that would have made California the first state to legalize same-sex marriage through its elected lawmakers. He is a better man than I thought.

Perception really plays into that analysis, doesn't it? I mean, wouldn't a fish look at us and say, "They can't even breathe under water!" And wouldn't a bird look at us and say, "They can't even fly!"

Is the human ego at the center of any perception that shows us in a "perfect" or "miraculous" light?

Looking forward to some diverse perspectives on this. Thanks in advance.

Peace

I'm making a stone hewn altar for a friend of mine, I'm going to give it to him as a present. He's a Heathen too, but I have no idea if he is dedicated to a specific god or not.
I imagine he would still like to have his altar decorated, but I was wondering - would it be okay if I carve certain attributs of the Gods on it? (like ravens for Odin, hammer for Thor, a boar for Frey...)
If yes, what would some typical attributes for other Gods/Goddesses be?

This site taken as a whole, is much larger than all the pyramids in Egypt put together: a truly unbeliveble architectual jewel.

Has any of you ever actually been there, and witnessed it for yourselves? I would give anything to do so; but will probably never be able to afford a trip there.

In scope and scale, it even surpasses St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and the "Yamoussoukro" cathedral - largest Christian church in the world, located in Africa - in grandeur and magnificence.

Do you agree? If not, why?

Even if that's true, now he's drying us out with Global Warming. He snuck a little loophole in there. So if He's real, he's killing us again.

Is your world a better place
now that the old churches are closing down
are more people happier' more content
are familys closer, are children better behaved now that there is no God. has crime gone down?
Do you feel safer now,
Or do you get the feeling' its free for all, come what may
those among you
you will remind me the same old arguments,
The Crusades, Witches Spanish inquisition etc
but that was the past
like Stalin Pol Pot etc, those will not be mentioned.
Are you satisfied now, that the old evils have gone
and replaced with new evils closer to home

For example, the federal government continues to imprison people for the simple cultivation or possession of cannabis.
And this evil is done in direct contradiction of its own research proving cannabis to be relatively harmless( under Nixon the President's Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse actually recommended legalization!).

WHY DO CHRISTIANS NOT ACT AGAINST THIS EVIL HYPOCRISY!

I know that Mormons have an explanation of why Mormonism is new (that it isn't really new but was just hidden for a long time, and that there used to be Mormons back in the day).

What about JWs? Do they have a similar explanation? If so, describe it for me please. :) I mean I guess what I'm asking is, according to JW theology, were there any JWs 1000 years ago? If not, why not? Did they believe as they do now?

Thanks! :)

Amongst many nations, come back to their orignal homeland as was predicted by many prophets and become powerful again, wouldn't that give you some reason to believe the book had some legitimacy? How come the nation of Isreal after almost 2000 years in back in their homeland? And all these troubles around it are occuring as was predicted. What are the odds of that happening after almost 2000 years. Don't you think they would have forgotten their heritage after that long or gotten lost or killed or something like that?
