Banks don't want to alienate anyone, not even those pesky rabble-rousers who insist that the Constitution not be trampled upon. The bank is a cash machine, after all, so it wouldn't be good for business to leave anyone out in the cold.

That, or they just didn't wanna waste the ink.

Clearly the bank administration felt having such a statement on a form of currency was, well, completely ridiculous.

I swear checks should say in something we trust because you never know if it's gonna bounce...
I guess banks don't trust God. Can't say I blame them.

I think its even funnier how there has been English money in circulation with the picture of a Pagan Goddess on it since the 18th century, and England is officially Christian.

very good question, but I do not that they are anit_GOD. Soon I do feel all US money will no longer have the motto " IN GOD WE TRUST" on it.

I hear Jesus defaulted on a loan a while back, and they're still waiting...I bet the interest is pretty high.

Most definitely. Jesus would never charge me an overdraft charge! banks do. you know i don't have any money....i over drafted! how can you be so cruel as to charge me money you know i don't have!?!?!
