"A house divided against itself cannot stand" - if a person has the same faults as others, they cannot make a stand.
Corrupt businessmen cannot stand against corrupt politicians.
The Amercian government is far, far from Christian.
It is not a Christians duty to resist evil or fight it, but to live free from the forces of evil displaying the advantages of doing so, so that others will be drawn towards God.
Mt 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Mt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
The 'wages' of sin is death; but through attaining to Christ, the age NOW IS where death is swallowed up in victory.
Therefore if the American goverment and all the other corrupt goverments of the world do not awaken and change their ways; they become 'the blind leading the blind into the grave.'
You can not help those that do not want to be helped.

The government decide these things ultimately, so people can become politicians. In that ultimately one has to work within parties such as Democrats and Republicans, and work with some unscrupulous people. Given there are many unscrupulous people in society who will cheat and so on to get their way, there is no way a totally decent agenda can really be enacted. And Western societies are not totalitarian, allowing a particular interest group to dictate to the whole society.

Many people tolerate corruption either because the corruption doesn't effect them or because the corruption serves their needs. Oddly many people, Christians and non-Christians, see any kind of intoxication as a sin and they are happy to keep cannabis illegal.
I'm all for legalization but I also know you can never sell that idea to large groups of people like "soccer moms". Though the majority of Americans are for things like de-criminalization, the majority of citizens who vote are not.

The reason I do not react to get cannabis made legal is the same reason I work as hard as I can to get cigarettes banned. It is useless damage to the body and costs me, as a taxpayer, a lot of money because the people do not have health insurance to cover their illnesses due to smoking. Yes, it is hypocrisy that they do not also push to have it banned, too.

i'm no longer so beneficial on the subject of the election being rigged, lots as people being ignorant and somewhat some people balloting for the president because of the fact of his race (even however, if that they had his beginning certificates, it might say Caucasian, as that's what his mom is). I have no theory why we've permit him take administration. He has bribed people to bypass the ludicrous well-being care bill. u.s. is spiraling downward... in part because of the fact we are ignorant- stupid and uninformed. that's ridiculous.

They are doing more important stuff like they are called to do"go into all the world and preach the gospel that the lost might hear the good news". I think that takes priority over some kind of legislation for crap like Cannabis.

In all honesty, most of them are too wrapped up in what comes after this life to be truly concerned with those imposing regulations regarding this existence. They also seem to be far too busy interfering with the free will of others and enacting effectual contrition of their own scripture. It seems to me that it'd be more efficient to develop your spiritual ideals, and prepare yourself however you feel is necessary for it, then refocus on the now and the happenings of this life. If they have it(life), their god must have some purpose, beyond waiting to die.

I have. I have even rumbled with the cops during a riot. I can not speak for other people or their beliefs but i have no problem with clashing with civil authorities and at times considered it my Christian duty to act up.
