Why would you not want to find the truth?

Rational thoughts are the good ones...

We have a Knowing of a knowing of a knowing that goes beyond all that. We know that we know that God exist.

Non-believers have no concept of this.

1st Cor 2;14 say's But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.
1Cr 2:15 We who have the Spirit understand these things, but others can't understand us at all

You see God has actually given us his Spirit (not the world's spirit) so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.(1Cr 2:12)

As to what You say ?

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

I don't know if i am a strong Christian and I know what you mean but here is what i do...
really test your faith. Dig deeper, look at the problems that you have with Christianity and try to find holes in your faith. Then go and try to answer your questions. ask many different people. read books, look online, i can assure you that you will find an answer!
try reading the Bible every night and every morning. I recently starting reading a devotional book called 'extreme devotions'. it is about Christians that get persecuted for there faith.
when your faith is tested it will become stronger.

One should never keep himself from thinking process;it is not rational. It can be due to thinking too-much or disbelieving too-much. The process of thinking can be supported by reading/listening to talks and music and also engaging your mind in other activities like sports/music/talks etc. Strong are those who never give up and by every possible way including strengthening faith/trust/confidence and mind achieve' win' status.

Stop reading anything that isn't the bible or in support of the bible.
Stop going to movies, except for those movies that have been accepted by the.American Family Organization.
Stop associating with thinking, analytical people.
Become financially or physically challenged in some way. Your ensuing fear of death will help you to give up your critical faculties and embrace a faith borne of fear and/or desperation.
Say over and over again 'Accept Jesus' like it's a mantra until you've actually self-hypnotized yourself into doing it.

Quick, use the bible! Bash it repeatedly against you head until you're either refilled with the Holy Spirit or you pass out. If you do this all the time you'll no longer be able to come up with any rational thoughts.

Hi.....

You are getting glimmers of truth and you want to banish them??

Break the chains once and for all, get out of the delusion that is religion and free your mind and will!!!

It will 'not' make you a bad person and you will 'not' burn in Hell for eternity, as there really is 'not' a Hell or a Heaven!

You have to come to terms with the fact, that you are here on Earth only once and when you are gone, you're gone!

This does not frighten me, why should it you!!???

FREE YOURSELF!!!

Forgive me if I giggle a little (not at you), but as a Buddhist, I've learned that we never stop "thinking". As a matter of fact the first thing you learn is that you can only CALM your mind from it's origins of what we call "monkey mind" which jumps around like a cute monkey, tree to tree.

Why would you want to suspend it if rationale is motivating you toward it? That doesn't seem rational. :)

Just a thought.

Edit:
Typical... thumbs down for rational thought.
