Even if that's true, now he's drying us out with Global Warming. He snuck a little loophole in there. So if He's real, he's killing us again.

Funny comment. Climate change seems to ironically be boosting BOTH flood and drought this year.

Here in Canada, the last two winters have been two of the three warmest in recorded history (although predictions of another warm winter may be wrong, for reasons I will not bore you with here).

God cannot lie (yes there are a couple things even God can not do, and LYING is one) See my source bible verse down below this responce.

He promised not to flood the world again, so I think we're safe ... but I'm not too sure about Bangladesh, where melting ice caps endanger that low lying poor nation.

There is a conference on global warming going on this week, where Asian nations are worried about rising oceans.

Billions of people will be at greater risk from storms, floods and droughts in the years ahead, partly as a result of global warming.

The economic cost will be huge, especially for poor countries that are likely to bear the brunt of these events.

From 1971 to 1995, floods affected more than 1.5 billion people, or 100 million a year; of those, 318,000 people were killed and more than 81 million left homeless.

In addition, the number of major flood disasters has risen relentlessly. There were six in the 1950s; seven in the 1960s; eight in 1970s; 18 in the 1980s; and 26 in the 1990s.

Droughts are becoming more severe and widespread. Up to 45% of reported deaths from natural disasters between 1992 and 2001 resulted from droughts and famines.

The most vulnerable communities are impoverished peoples occupying marginal rural and urban environments.

Funny question, sorry but I could not help give a serious answer. This issue needs more attention!

It's true. The rainbow is the sign of His covenant not to destroy the earth again with a flood.

He is real, He is not killing us again---we are doing a good enough job of that ourselves.

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.
The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.
This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.
Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is
becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).
As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).
When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.
As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':
Humans did not cause it.
Humans cannot stop it.

I was taught that it was a promise not to do that again.

I also think this is a dumb question so I'll continue by saying I saw a totally rockin' awesome rainbow a couple weeks ago before it got real cold.

It was like the kind they draw in kids books. It was really wide so the whole spectrum was completely visable and it went from one horizon to the other with a large spreading arch. It only lasted a minute or two as the sun was coming out but it was probably the best one I've ever seen.

A Rainbow is a sign that God won't wipe the slate clean again... or so to speak...

Global warming is just another sign of the end of days, which most people have been warned about in the Bible. All the more reason to reach out to others in the World that haven't heard about God

Sorry you lose!( It is) his promise not to flood the( world) again. It does make a difference when not stated properly. God does not kill. For God so loved the world he gave His only begotten Son so all that believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. He brought LIFE! why would you think He is Killing! Satan is working over time, and a statement like that proves he's pretty good at convincing deceiving others. Hope this clears things up!

Many people thinks that God promise not to have anykind of flood anymore, God's promise was not to destroy mankind by a flood again, Now you mention he is drying us out, No he is not, he is just beginning to get this earth back into a situation that when the milliennium comes during that 1000 yrs. he will slowly bring this earth back to a perfect climate, Then at the end of that 1000 yrs, you will not have any North or South pole with ice, but with palm trees, Oh yes they have found palm leafs at the poles, Frozen, That let's me know that at one time this planet had a perfect climate. Now to the atheists that think Christains don't pay any attention to science, I do, & science is not even aware they are proving God.

"I set My rainbow in the cloud,
and it shall be for the
sign of the covenant
between Me
and the
earth."
Gen. 9 13-15

A rainbow is probably one of the most spectacular natural light shows that you can see. It is the result of sunlight diverted through tiny droplets of water then caught by the eye at slightly varied angles - each angle reproducing a different colour.

The 'bow' part of the word 'rainbow' describes the fact that the rainbow is a group of nearly circular arcs of colour all having a common center.

Simple observation of a rainbow tells us that there are seven colours; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. However, the fact is that there is a whole range of colours from red through to violet that are not obvious and even more beyond the scope of the Hu-man eye.

Metaphysically speaking; "the rainbow as a token of a covenant between Me and the earth," involves the Law of obedience as symbolized by Noah. The rainbow is formed of many drops of water, each acting as a prism receiving and transmitting the sunlight.

Each drop represents a Hu-man being, and the whole rainbow, the Hu-man race - each person with a common source in Spirit.

The seven colours of the solar spectrum are produced by different rates of vibration observed at slightly different angles, which together form the visible universe.

When a person becomes like 'Noah', obedient to the Universal Law and to the guidance it gives, (s)he will never again be flooded by destructive thoughts; and when the whole race enters into consciousness of obedience to the Universal Law, its eternal principles will forever be established in each heart and mind.

The rainbow is a Universal symbol of the purpose and goal of creation as each mind obedient to the Universal Law (which is at the core of each cell) radiates the light of spirit with natural perfection.

A rainbow connects the heavens and the earth and is therefore symbolic of the principle of Unity, as each person unites in purpose with the whole and each sustains the arc of perfection that is their own nature.

This new millennium will see more people than ever before discovering within themselves the source of spiritual life and learning how to draw on it to transform their lives.

To assist in this process we have published this free metaphysical teaching site, giving instructions in Applied Metaphysics and also numerous interpretations of the symbols all around us, as well as well known scriptural sayings whose deeper meaning has until now evaded the majority of people.

To all those visiting this site, we extend a warm welcome, and are confident that you will find it interesting, exciting and informative.

***

The world destroyed by fire, means that the the 'world' - as in the present political system will be refined and illumined by the FIRE OF LOVE when it is kindled in each person's heart.

This 'physical' world is nothing but waves of energy and as the earth's population awaken, the scales will fall off their eyes and the Universe will appear as it has been all along:

Re 21:1 . And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

There is nothing to fear, we are in transition and learning what we need as we need it to avoid total destruction.

Yes God promise Noah that he will not flood the earth again
and the rainbow is a reminder of is promise and the global
warming is man's creation

First question, yes, this is true. He promised not to destroy the world with a worldwide flood, such as what Noah and his family had endured.

Second set of points, we can't blame God when we humans have caused a lot of our own problems. I don't know enough about the science (FACTUAL science, please, not gore-ologic, et al., so-called science) of all this, but God made certain physical, biological, geological, etc., laws and we break these at our own risk. Yes, God is real, but we are doing the damage to ourselves.
