I always remember my childhood Christmases as being WHITE! We had loads of snow, it was cold, frosty, sunny and seasonal. What are your memories of UK Christmases?

You people that believe that this nation was not founded as a Christian nation, have you ever picked up a history book? Or read the Constitution? The Declaration of Independance? Have you ever studied our founding fathers and what they believed?

If you haven't....don't call the people who have studied the ignorant ones.

I do agree that this nation is not a Christian nation now, but the truth is it was founded as such, and that was the intent of our founding fathers.

How can you deny history?

Yeah, I converted to Judaism, at first mainly just to tick off the Christians, but now I am very serious about it. It's just that every time I a buy a newspaper, there are supermarket ads in there, and I see that Basha's has a sale on ham. I mean, it's on sale, .....but it's ham. But,....it's on sale. ....but it's ham. It's not just that dilemna, but, what am I supposed to say whenever someone tells me us Jews sunk the Titanic? I tell them it wasn't a Goldberg, it was an Iceberg. Why won't they listen to me?

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

What I have come to learn after being in the ministry for over 20 years, is that at this time of year, certain emotions begin to come to the front which can hinder believers from giving God praise and celebrating the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord.

The world parades as though everybody should automatically be cheerful. But for many people it is just the opposite. Depression sets in during holiday times, anger arises, bitterness is magnified, unforgivingness is at its highest peak, and tragedies run rampant. The negative emotions that people have held in their heart over the years begin to well up. Then they meditate on it instead of dealing with it according to the Word of God.

Holding on to past hurts is a tremendous hindrance to the power of God in your life. However, forgiveness can cause these past hurts to dissipate and bring you to your position of victory, with Satan under your feet. You can forgive that person.

You can look at it this way. If anybody had a right to have a complaint against us, it was Jesus. But He treats us with such love, in that while we were yet sinners, He forgave us and died on the cross for us.

But it did not stop at the cross. The reason we should make this ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ is because Jesus is still extending forgiveness to us today. Maybe we have missed the mark over and over again. The good news is that His Word is still the same. He is waiting for you to come to Him so He can cleanse you with His forgiveness. He will not cast you away. He forgives you and throws your sin as far as the east is from the west. Now that is a whole lot different that what we deserve!

Receive God’s forgiveness and love. Then what will please Him is that you turn right around and forgive others of those things of the past. If Jesus forgave them, if Jesus died for them, certainly you can forgive them too.

Let it go so that you can enjoy this holiday season and the rest of your life in peace. Yes, it can be for you the most wonderful time of the year!

I work for an on-line company, and it's not unusual for someone to call and say that they've been charged twice for an item when in fact they've only been charged once. The first attempt failed, and the bank is showing 2 'holds', and the failed hold will drop.

How do you tell someone that doesn't understand this that they've only been charged once? How can you prove it to them (over the phone) when their bank is saying they were charged twice?

They are so immature that they say they are going to sue us, and contact the fraud department (which I doubt that they will)... as if threatening us will do anything. BTW... the items we sell are $20, or less.

If you must follow Christianity then why not adhere to its doctrine? I have read many answers on YA from 'some' Christians who show a definite lack of spiritual generosity. They disrespect other faiths and blatantly insult those who do not share their beliefs. Yet, they blindly promote their 'Christianity'. Is this OK by you?

My grandfather was a fruit peddler in Melrose Park Illinois. Anyone happen to be from Melrose and remember him? I can remember stories Grandma told of when he "got modern" and got rid of his cart, he purchased an old school bus, took out the seats and put in wooden shelves with bins. I got to go to the Water Street Market with him in Chicago and tag along as he bought his fresh fruits and vegetables.

I remember the "banana man". He was black and he always gave me a banana.

Christian groups seem to take offense with the concept of the "Holiday Season" and the expression "Happy Holidays". The vast majority of religions have some form of celebration around the winter solstice, but Christians seem to think that anything other than "Merry Christmas" is offensive.

Personally I find this attitude offensive.
