Family, friends, kitchen smells invading the entire house by 9:30am from Turkey, Ham, Leg of Lamb, stuffing, fruits, & mint. Traditional Christmas music playing all day in the background. Children arriving excited & laughing. All of the cookies around and cracking the nuts open lots of buttered popcorn... after dinner the contentment in the adults reminiscing and very gentle snores of children asleep on the chair, couch or broadloom carpet. After a little while back in the kitchen & packing up take home leftovers and making fresh coffee & tea for the trips - hot chocolate for the children. Exhausting and worth every minute!

All the anticipation with the kids. We love doing the baking thing and going out looking at the lights. The ultimate, though, was last year when we adopted a less fortunate family. My children were SO EXCITED to do the 12 days of Christmas for them. I love the wonderment on their faces.

Donny Osmond singing "Deck the Halls"..... tra la la la lovely.... It would not be Christmas in my home without it. Of course after a few glasses of my infamous spiked cider.... even a chorus of Bob and Doug MacKensie singing the Twelve Days of Christmas brings a tear to my eye... LOL

Hiya,
Well i love all the old Christmas films and music too.
But also being with all my family and remembering family that are no longer with us at midnight mass.
Then I love all the food goodies that come with christmas as well.
Merry Christmas

Going to midnight mass with my whole family - all four generations of them and then waking up in the morning at the crack of dawn when the kids have discovered that Santa came overnight. After the presents are open we stuff ourselves with pancakes, sausage and hot chocolate.
