Moses is the author of the Bible. At least the first 5 books.
He made it all up, and made himself a prophet, so that he could be the leader, and everyone would be ok with it because they thought that thats what God wanted.
Moses could have been Satan in diguise though. I never really thought about it that way.

Because God's word the Bible contains unmitigated truth.
Every single prophecy given in God's word has come true exactly when specified that they would, & in exactly the ways stated that they would. None of them went unfulfilled, even in the minutest of details. Those few that haven't yet been fulfilled are set for the future, so that can't be counted against it.
Consider for example the case of Cyrus...
Two hundred years prior to his birth, he was named as the one who would conquer Babylon, & dry the waters up to ddo so! And that's exactly what he did! He had his men divert the waters (from the Euphrates river) into Babylon, & then they entered by wading through the lowered waters, under the gates that were normally down to the water's top. (Their water system both provided water to the city, & protection from their enemies.) The bottom gates had been left open, which is very 'weird', because there was a royal party that night, where Daniel read the handwriting on the wall about Babylon's end, that very night. Isaiah even wrote about how the gates would not be shut that night! This fulfilled Jehovah God's word of prophecy:
Isa 44:27; 45:1, 2; Jer 50:38; 51:30-32

I think originally the bible was written for the good of mankind, but since mankind is naturally self destructive the bible was changed ti control the masses. So to answer the question satan is the editor not the author.

they don't. they can only hide behind scriptures that point their satan in a bad light; but if any such manipulative being actually existed, he would not be above including a few verses that demonizes himself to make it look like he did not author the bible. It's like governmental "plausible deniability."
or, to put it another way, if Christians honestly believe that non-Christians are satanic, yet those same non-Christians abhor the Christian satan, than their critique of the Christian satan should be enough to debunk the myth that non-Christians are satannic. But since Christians want it both ways, they'll never bow to this or any other logic, and keep on quoting their book, satannic or not.

The concept your question refers to is from this passage:
Jn 8:44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
'satan' as a 'personality does not exist. The 'satanic consciousness' was created and is sustained by men. The selfish ego is 'satan'.
When you understand the scriptures and put them into practice, you will become aware of the Fire of God burning in your heart and you will enter into life.
Then 'satan' is cast into the 'burning fire' - that is, the selfish ego is healed through the outpouring of Love.
You are deceived by your own senses - and they are your only enemy, they are 'satan'.
The teaching of the bible enables you to overcome your own selfish ego - and reveal the Christ in You, hid for ages.
ONLY when you overcome 'satan' and realise that 'he' does not exist as a personality opposing God but is the force keeping You separate from God, will you really know for yourself.

If satan was to write a book I would think it would entail more raping and general subversion. I can write a book more "sadistic" then the bible, heck Stephen King does all the time.

Think about it.... if he penned the bible... why did he say he was evil, why did he say he would be defeated and finally throw into a lake of fire.
If he did write it... wouldn't he write is so he's the winner? Oh, there is a version that says that... the Satanic Bible.

Because he wouldn't have concluded the Book this way:
"And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. "
