Pretty much. You'd think they'd have gotten their story straight by now.

The belief is not a shamble, but the lives of some of the believers are. This comes from the ways one attempts to second guess the simple guidelines given to us by God. It is all about infinite love in its simplicity. Some choose to only thrive within the complexity of it all. He told us in the Word that the greatest gift of all was love. Why get all bogged down in the interpretation and overlook the simplest of ways to carry out the purpose? It was all for His love from the start.

The entire bible, and all religious books, are purely allegorical. How else can one explain living to be 900 years old (Gen 5:), or resurrections, or virgin pregnancies, or a 6,500 year old planet, or being created from a blood clot or sand or whatever.
Religion is a crutch that scoiety is ready to toss away. It's evident when you look at the times that people are "saved"....it's always during a stressful time in their life....thus a mental crutch. People need to start believing they have the ability to live life on their own.

It's easy. Whatever verse supports the claim they're making at the time is to be interpreted literally. Whatever verse doesn't is allegory. See, isn't that simple? And if necessary, you can also just change the definition of any word that's giving you a problem. "Fear" actually means respect, "vengeance" actually means love, a year of "God time" equals a million years of human time... that sort of thing.

Let me share with you a truth that I learned back in grade school, when I was having trouble with math...
(In fact, you could say that my belief in math was a shambles.)
A fact doesn't need you to believe it, or even understand it, in order for it to be a fact...
In other words, God doesn't need you (or anyone else, for that matter) to believe in Him, or even to understand Him, in order to exist...
And I still have trouble with math...

Christians have a trump card you see. Christians believe in forgiveness from their God, so even if what there doing is wrong they can just repent and all is well.

If common sense makes good sense seek no other sense.
The Bible usuly should be taken litterally.

you make the mistake of thinking they are seperate. that which the figurative indicates is meant to be taken literal. in other words when you realize the symbolic meaning, believe it literally.

I decided. No allegory. All literal. That easy.
I am also one of many believers. Others may not be able to decide, but not all.
God bless you.
