No, Honey, but things I've read in books, seen in movies, etc. have influenced long-term, reasoned changes. Books and movies have been steps along the path of change.

The wise person doesn't believe the same thing day after day, year after year... as she learns her beliefs change. If her beliefs stay the same it means she has stopped learning.

I think it's GREAT for a movie to cause you to question your beliefs and ask bigger questions than perhaps your religion would allow. That is GOOD.

The outcome of such an experience should be the inspiration to search further and learn more.

Happy searching!

Well, It's A Wonderful Life and the Wizard of Oz are two good religious movies (my view).

To some extent. After watching Raising Arizona, I came to believe that Nicholas Cage was a good actor.

I watched movie after movie starring Nicholas Cage, hating nearly every one of them until the truth finally started sinking into my head.

I think it was finally around Con Air or so that I finally came to grips with the fact that actually, he's a pretty crappy, hammy actor.

Now that I have seen the light, I can actually enjoy Nicholas Cage movies again, because I expect him to be awful.

No, and it never will. I believe in God and always will believe in God. Movies are man made with opinions and what that person believes. I wouldn't let another movie or what someone else thinks change what I've been believing since I was very young. My faith is something I strongly believe in and I wouldn't allow any person to change that, and if I did that really means I didn't truly believe in God in the first place, at least not strongly enough.

Ha! No. My parents did take me to see Yentl to make me want to do my homework in Hebrew school. It worked for a little while. Hee hee...Yentl.

But really, no. There have been movies that made me want to make movies though.

I heard someone on the radio say that he converted to Christianity because he saw "Jesus Christ Superstar".

And Campus Crusade for Christ claims that people have coveted after seeing their movie "Jesus".

So it appears to be possible.
