thirst for power, greed, revenge & wealth which implies that all religion are basically peaceful by their books.

So why do u humans point finger at each other & generalising everyone's religion as evil or bad when we know only a handful are twisting the truth?

"facinating humans" we borg say.

are they "radical", "moderate" or "just" Muslims?

They are also reporting they said "No tolerance" and "Fight blood and soul for Muhammad" while waving huge knives in the air.

Your thoughts please. Thanks.

What about steal? I suppose it would be ok if someone sleeps with your spouse since we are not under the law. I guess that is why Catholics have so many idols now because we are no longer under the law so it does not matter. What are you thoughts has the law REALLY been done away with?

once again i need to ask about the tolerance levels of muslims. it's funny...i just recently asked a similar question about why islam is such an intolerant religieon, and then this article about a teddy bear named muhammed popped up. and, of course, it has enraged the muslim community to the point that they demand an execution, because that is viewed an insult to islam. lol...i swear i can't help but look at the muslim community as acting like immature spoied little brats who can't take getting their feelings hurt. if islam is so peaceful and tolerant a religion; and if it is only the fanatics that are the ones that are demanding "death to the infidels," then where the hell are the moderates to condemn this sort of sophomoric behavior? i get the feeling that either they deep down inside agree with radicals, but feel to guilty to voice it. or they actually do disagree, but would rather look the other way. tsk tsk tsk.

"Science cannot explain [insert specific event or phenomena] and we don't know if it ever will; therefore, it is possible, even probable, that god* did it".

*the word "god" is here being used to refer to the Abrahamic, Judeo-Christian, Biblical deity Yahweh.

If you say "I do" then what do you mean when you say "I"? Do you mean that your brain makes the choice? If so, then how do you have free will when your brain functions are determined by the laws of physics? It means that your choice was not under "your" control but rather under the control of nature. That means you have no free will.

If you say "I" is more than the brain, then how does that other part override the physics involved when it's not physical?

OK, I am a Catholic, and I have to admit that sometimes I am embarrassed by what others do in the name of my religion. The worst one for me is whenever a Christian tells ANYONE they are going to Hell, I want to crawl in a hole, because I am just so, so embarrassed by what they are doing (considering Jesus specifically told us NOT to do that!)

However, it pretty much ends at embarrassment. Sure, MAYBE a dozen abortion shelters have been blown up in the last 30 years, and we had the crusades and inquisition 500-1000 years ago, but since then Christians have been a pretty peaceful bunch. A few may be embarrassing at times, but no real violence. Our radical 1% just makes crazy statements and criticizes Harry potter books.

However, Muslims on the other hand have a much different problem. Sure, 99% of Muslims are great people, but the other 1% are FAR from embarrassing. Come on, killing a teacher for naming a teddy bear Mohammed?

And remember when the Pope got them mad by saying many are spreading Islam by the sword? They said, pretty much, “How dare he call us violent! Kill him!”

I really feel sorry for the rest of the Muslims out there. Just keep being a peaceful religion, and try to denounce them as much as you can, this whole thing will tide over eventually (hopefully).

Does everyone else share the same sentiments?

Many of you instantly called my new god a tyrant...

Not necessarily the judeo-christian OT monster....

I'm talking here about a purely imaginary concept...

You can imagine a "perfect being" right?

No biblegod, a tangible being present in your every day life...who could solve your problems (a lot like a genie with infinite wishes)

Wouldn't that be "nice to have?"

What I mean by that is, you wouldn’t throw pears before a pig because they’re of no use to them, they’ll just throw them in the mud, in the same way, we are trying to tell others about God by teaching what it says in the bible, but it’s of no use because they’ll just stomp on it and say they don’t care. Rather than teaching them the word, we should act it, and once they notice that we’re different than other people, that there’s something better in us then the non-believers, wait for that opportunity to tell them what’s different about you and THEN tell them about the word. I know we all get tired of people mocking God, but that can all stop once we start “walking the walk” instead of “talking the talk” (stupid phrase but oh well.)

I am curious - do you think matter has always been there, or that it has an origin? As I understand it, the Big Bang theory only addresses the origins of our current universe, and only deals with rearranging matter, not the beginnings of matter.
Please don't tell me about how God created matter.
