I think any culture's identity depends upon its history, legacy and behavior in the world community. You should be proud of you heritage, your contribution to the world and life, and who you are as a people, no matter what country you are from, and not allow a minority of the people to be a gauge of your worth.

We are generally polite, tolerant, civilised, peaceful and happy. We like to live in peace and be left in peace.
England is the land, the flora, fauna and people that live here.
It's about democracy and fair play.
Pubs, football, Cod and Chips. Gardens, DIY, good schools, good health service,.
Our regional accents and different regional traditions.
Driving on the left.
Loads more but no time to list them!

I think our cultural identity is dynamic, and ever changing. Since the beginnings of civilisation we have been conquered and colonised by other nations. We have progressed and we still progress.I think thats the most significant thing about britishness, it isnt a fixed ideal.

Having a marvellous tolerance for other people's rudeness, vulgarity and impoliteness.
We don't aspire to be racist, although some are.
We don't aspire to be shy, although our national reserve might suggest otherwise and some English are loud mouthed.
We have a unique sense of humour.

Let's see British culture is raping, hypocritical, pillaging, proud to be secular, believing that everyone should dance to their tune but they couldn't lift a muscle to integrate with others, proud of the 'Empire', (even though it caused misery and still is but never mind that eh we got what we wanted out of it so we're all right jack), racist and experts
