I hear the "faith" examples often. One answerer just wrote "I have faith my car will start in the morning. I have faith that I will wake up the next day. I have faith that the sun will rise the next day. I have faith that the chair will hold me up when I sit. I use faith almost in everything I do."

Can you realize that faith in God is different than these? That it is faith in something that has no precedent?

both atheists and creationists think their theories on how life and the universe originated, is right? Like they are the only two options that can be right! lol

Wouldn't be even funnier to find out that they both were WRONG?

I need to do a project on some type of world event/person that effects the whole world. Examples I have are global warming, Lance Armstrong (his cancer foundation)... i want some more examples... i don't want to do it on global warming because it's too common of a subject, but on something interesting.. is there any world event or person that effects the world??? it can be a person or thing... it just basically has to effect the world in some way.

Shouldn't the sole fact that there are multiple religions in existence, all claiming their mascot to be the one true God, be enough to make any rational person skeptical?

Wouldn't the first religion have to be the true one, if any?

I often hear that we can't really assert that God does not exist because we don't know everything. I think we can't really say it because we can all be fooled by something supernatural, or even natural. But does saying that "God is imaginary" have good enough philosophical grounding?

I'm not a very religious person myself, but I have realised that my sexuality has become a bit too much for me to handle, let alone for my partner(s). No, I'm not addicted to sex, but I'm *this* close to becoming such.

So I made a resolution to refrain myself from ANYTHING and EVERYTHING sexual, but I'm already failing ~cries~ I just can't help thinking about doing somebody. Please pardon my language, but I'm really under pressure and can't help myself.

My question would be how do you cope with the rules of your religion regarding sexuality? Like, for example, most Christians and Muslims consider pre-marital sex a sin. How do you guys acomplish that? I so envy you on your strength of will.

It is my understanding that people need salvation because they can't be perfect, so Jesus is helping those people that have sinned, to yet go to heaven instead of hell (that is the answer I received when I asked why people need salvation). So, that means, asuming someone is completely perfect and never makes a sin in his entire life, he will go to heaven though he has no religion. Is that correct?

Why do people feel the need to put "X-mas" or Holiday instead of Christmas. Like Holiday Tree, what the...? Are people so afraid to say the real word for it or to actually type out the name Christ instead of an X?

- I believe there is a true love out there for everyone.
- I believe there are things in life worth dying for.
- Fighting should only be used as a last resort.
- Killing should only be a last resort.
- War is the greatest sin of mankind.
- All people are equal no matter what.

true free will can only exist if there is no fear of consequences for one's actions. it's not a quote. it's just my observation. free will should never be confused with having a choice. if i hold a gun to your head and tell you to trip the next person who walks by or else i will shoot you, most likely you'll trip the person to spare your own life. is it a choice you would have made had the gun not been put your head? so how can anyone claim we have free will if they believe we are going to hell if we don't choose to accept jesus or any other deity as our savior? we may have a choice, but we definitely don't have free will.

ok my ex-girlfriend called me up cuz she was moving in a few days she sounded upset on the phone and she's been trying to break me and my girlfriend up anyway she sounded really upset and i dont know why but she asked me to come over so i did (god im so stupid) anyway so i went over to see whats was wrong anyway we started talking and she tells me that she's sorry for trying to break me and my gf up so later she gives me somthing to drink and its that cherry limade stuff which i really like anyway i didnt know she spiked it and she got me trashed and as soon as i passed out she ****** me while i was passout on her couch and now i feel like a total whore and ive been cutting to and now i dont know what to do help please!!!!

why is it that a women cant make a site after shes had an abortion to inform other women about it and to share her story?

i dont put down you pro-life people so why put me down?

i just dont understand...i made the site to help women and inform them. maybe you all should get over it. its stupid to put me or any other women down for having one.

i too used to be against abortion but i was put in a very emotional situation and now i am pro-choice. its my personal choice what i am and what i do. it doesnt make me a bad person!!!
