You're so brave to put yourself out there like that to help others cope. Just remember that there are people out there who aren't opened mind about anything. Hey, you can't please everyone. If all you did is help one women cope with the situation then it's all worth it...RIGHT??

What you are dealing with is a billion dollar con business. These people don't care about life, if they did they would put the lives of women, children, the elderly and other born humans on an equal plane with the unborn fetus. However, they have chosen to let the humans die and to raise money to save the fetus. They don't actually do much "saving" though. They know that even if they have laws passed putting harmless women in jail, abortion will continue.
God bless you for having the nerve to go up against these con men and women who run the pro life rip off.

Ignore the anti-choicers. They only call it pro-life to make themselves feel noble.

If any idiot claims that as soon as a sperm fertilizes an egg it's a "life" then they have absolutely no understanding of the developmental process. Yes, at some point it becomes a life, and that point is certainly up for debate, but most anti-choicers I know are just prattling off what they've been told.

Good for you, I'm sorry you were put in a predicament to make such a tough choice.

And for those of you giving her a hard time, fine if you're against it, don't have one. Nobody said you had to. Other people's choices aren't your business.

You have a right to have your site, you have a right to do and say as you like, but others have a right not to agree with you. It would, however, be interesting to see how some people's opinions would change if they got knocked up right now, or got slammed with child support. Throw in a few more twists and turns like losing their job, health, family relationships etc. Its easy to say how you would react to a situation when you haven't experienced it. Oh well.

I think that your site will help a lot of women who are in such a position where they can not provide a life for a child. You could also put up stories of people who have given their children up for adoption that way they are familiar with both of their options.

There are very few truly informative non biased sites out there and I think this may be one of them. You are not bashing the pro-life crowd and I think that you can also somewhat embrace them (maybe by also adding stories of successful/unsuccessful women who kept their children even knowing they weren't ready).

Abortion for most is not an easy choice, and in some cases it can be the right choice. The problem arises when some women/girls seem to use abortion as a form of contraception. That makes me angry and sad. There are plenty of contraceptive devices on the market which are easily accesible...abortion should never be one of thise choices.

No reason why you shouldn't have a site. If some are offended by it, then they don't have to look at it. I am and have always been pro-choice. I don't care what anyone else thinks and you shouldn't either.

Because people have opinions. Some people are just as convicted about abortion being WRONG as you are about it being OK. Sorry, but they are just as entitled to their opinions as you are to yours-many women have also had abortions and come out being pro-life and regretting their choice.
Don't know what to tell you except get over it-it might sound mean or calloused, but you need to. Trying to change THEIR opinions is just as rude as them trying to change YOURS.
Not to mention, you cannot REASONABLY expect to have a site about such a controversial topic without some uproar-pro-life and pro-choice sites each have their fair share of people who disagree, and you site is not exempt from that, sorry

ETA-someone whose opinions lean towards pro-life is no more closed minded than someone whose opinions lean towards pro-abortion. Having an opinion that is DIFFERENT than someone else's is not justification for calling them closed minded-it just makes them another human with an opinion different than yours

You're absolutely right. It's a personal choice. What's right for one may not be right for another. No one has the right to tell another what she should do with her life. The best advice would be from those who have experienced it, not those who have not experienced it and have closed and judgmental minds. You are to be commended. Good luck. 2D

I think it's terrific for you to share your story. It will help other women make informed decisions, help them know they aren't alone, and can be very therapeutic for you! Blogging is a great way to get it all out. You go, girl!
