No other reason.

Its seat is in Rome and that distinguishes it from the Eastern Orthodox (Greek Orthodox) church and others that use the word "catholic."

It's a misnomer. There is no actual such thing as the "roman catholic church." It's simply the Catholic church. On top of that you have the various rites (latin, byzantine, etc).

The confusion comes from the fact that what most people THINK are the "roman catholics" are actually called:
The Catholic church of the latin (or roman) rite.

Somewhere along the line somebody decided it would be easier to say that as just "Roman Catholic" and the true meaning of the phrase was quickly lost in favor of all the lies and misbeliefs you hear about it now.

The Roman Emperor embraced the church, and the church embraced the Roman Emperor. After which the Roman state assisted in the spread of Christianity, and the New Roman Catholic Church, looked the other way when it came to some of Rome's unscrupulous deeds.

Two reasons:Constantine moved there and headed it and it is also called Romanism because of the fusing of paganism with Christian terminology.Rome was filled with paganism.Hence the phrase:"All roads lead to Rome".Ecumenical religions are ones of religious syncretism. Not bashing, just stating historical facts.

No other reason. They only use Roman Catholic to differentiate themselves, they consider themselves simply Catholic or universal.
