This is more a question for straight men. I am gay, work in a kitchen with a definite male atmosphere. Everyone but me is straight. They all know that I'm gay. I've had no problems as far as anyone being homophobic. They're all friendly and I have socialized with them away from work only somewhat. I have no intentions of making a move on any of them as I want them to be my friend as much as I would be theirs. But sometimes, when I am out drinking with one of them or maybe at their house, some moments just seem awkward. As I said, I have no sexual intent. I could really use some feedback from straight guys who have gay friends. Obviously where no sex is involoved. I just want to better understand. Thanks for your time.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight.

My beloved Aunt died this past weekend. She has been in the hospital for about 3 days and hadn't woken up after passing out at home. They say she didn't get oxygen to her brain for too long. There were no brain waves when they did the CAT scan. She has had diabetes for a long time and did not start trying to take care of it and herself till it was too late...she has been on dialysis for awhile. Some may say she is outta pain but she has said she didn't want to die and to try to bring her back if the need should arise. We had to unplug her from life support. I sat there after they unplugged everything and prayed and begged God the whole time as she fought to survive. But she passed away about 20 minutes later. Why would he take her from us? She was like an angel on Earth,. I swear. She was one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. Always happy and giggly. She was so great and it is not fair that he took her!!! She was 59...and just so damn nice, it's not fair!! I'm just so mad at Him.

When you drive into a parking lot with one-way spikes, there's only one way in and one way out-no changing your mind without paying the price. If you're in the wrong lot, you still pay to get out. Going the wrong direction gets you ripped apart....

Going through Jehovah's Witness baptism is declaring yourself subject to their imposition of their mass conscience upon yours-your ability to think for yourself or question anything is out the window. If you learn something about them that makes them look bad you will lhave to keep it to yourself and deal with the anomaly instead of asking honestly. If they "disfellowship" you, any friends or family you have made there will be cut off from you. All those people who are so nice to you now will cross the street to avoid eye contact..

As convinced as you think you are when they tell you that anything negative about them is from Satan, pay close attention to the fact that they are ONLY GIVING YOU THEIR SIDE! How objective is that!

One would think after 2,000 years Judas would have taken over heck since without Judas, there would be no resurrection of Jesus.

Why hasn't this happened? Why give the Devil all the credit when it's folks like Judas and the talking snake from the Garden of Eden which are the causes of modern day non-profit Christianity?

Many Christians on Y!A's will post answers like this: "THERE IS A GOD." They offer no other answers or details to the asker's question.

Many atheists on Y!A's will post answers like this: "THERE IS NO GOD." They, too, offer no other answers or details to the asker's question.

So, which is worse? Believing in something for the purpose of believing, or not believing in something for the purpose of not believing?

is fantasy better than reality?

(I think it is very much, what do you think?)
(And anyone can answer this, but really, this question is aimed at the more devout and religious Christians here, because two Christian people I have spoken to have either said that they don't like fantasy cuz it ain't real, or have told me to stop daydreaming so much and focus on my Bible-in so many words, but how the hell can I focus on the Bible, WHEN EVERY OTHER DAY LIVES ARE TORN APART BECAUSE INNOCENT PEOPLE GET KILLED? Or something to that extent....

So in your humble opinions, is FANTASY better than REALITY???
