I Was Once Told That We Should Never Tell On Ourselves.
I Cannot Help Myself...This has got to be the worst of the worst on Forgetfullness! I Must Laugh!

I walked in the door after checking the mail. The telephone began to ring. We have a portable phone, I began looking throughout the house, the ringing was loud and clear, irregardless which room I entered.....after about the fifth ring, I realized the phone was in my hand....
Can anyone top that one!?

I just saw the above quote as an answer to this question below.

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmMqCI26uVsERrlobNZ_iV1FLxV.;_ylv=3?qid=20071117060705AAmZIru

Interesting response. The source is the bible. Is there any Christian out there willing to give an exact source to this quote?

The answerer was given 3 thumbs up, so he's obviously not alone in his belief.

Seriously they thought the man would not make it through the night. His family asked if he wanted the preacher and he declined and stated he felt more at peace when I was around and wanted to see me.
I am just curious what your thoughts are of this.
Mind you I don't go in there and pray or any of that.
I really don't even know the guy all that well, he is the father of one of my hubby's friends. If anything I would flirt with him when I did some work at a nursing home he resides in.

In this aspect do you believe that even non-believers can have a spiritual bond with other people?

I read the Quran and it was really great that u can be so sure that it is written by "GOD". It has absolutely no mistakes and every line is true. For example: It said: When the world is close to terminating, there will be much tall buildings, the earth will start dying from its two limbs (poles), the right will become wrong and vice versa, there will be much killing, sex will become a normal thing between ppl nd they'll do it anywhere, anytime and even without being married. Furthermore, gaiety will spread, diseases will increase...that's just a line that was written 1449 years ago in arabic in quran. Isn't this happening. It is also written that the moon was split into two halfs and then fastened; i recently read that scientists dicovered a crack on the moon exactly hlafway the moon all around it. Another thing that the praying of muslims is the perfect cure for back and spinalcord problems. There are plenty of things nd I really suggest that everyone reads it and see how perfect it is

I'm learning about different religions through the ages, and linking everything up to how it all started. Ive been reading a post from earlier regarding Mazzarot in the bible so I investigated.

Who knows more about this and why it links up with Christianity religion?

Think about the ancient Egyptians as well.

Myself, I'm atheist but I find each link in the chain throught the centuries intriguing, and it makes you want to delve deeper.

I wonder what's missing that we don't know about, and it seems like believe in gods all started from the natural universe.

"Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (MuHAMmad) engaged me when I was a GIRL of SIX (years old). ...my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was PLAYING IN A SWING with some of my girl friends. ... She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house.... There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle (Muhammad) came to me in the forenoon (consummated the marriage) . . . and at that time I was a GIRL of NINE YEARS OF AGE."

the big bang theory makes no sense and breaks laws of science =/
- the big bang theory says that all of the universe began in a single little dot and started spinning really really fast until it all exploded. a scientific law states that every moon planet and galaxy should be spinning the same way but they are not. we have entire galaxies spinning backwards
- also, the big bang theory states that living organisms came from non-living items. that was proven wrong 200 years ago
- and, there are many stars in the sky. if you counted up the ones we know of, every person on earth would have 2 trillion stars. out of all of those stars, not one has been witnessed in creation. stars explode all of the time - novas, supernovas - but not one has been spotted being created. there was ONE spotted getting brighter (potentialy could be a created star) but it could also very well be a star hidden behind dust and that dust is clearing =/

is the big bang theory the best mankind has?

I don't care HOW glorious and HOW great people say Heaven will be and how it will feel there compared to here and all of these other things I can do there, and as they put it, "more joyful things" there, all I'm gonna say is that I can AT LEAST STILL experience everything there as I've gotten to experience here on Earth in some area up there if I REALLY want to. One of my many examples here is what about the RUST-FREE treasure in Heaven? What if you wanna know what it still feels like to watch treasure rust and feel the rust by rubbing it with your hand? If the treasure in Heaven never rusts whether you like it or not, then you won't get to experience everything afterall. Afterall, sometimes it's nice to have the sour to make the sweet, sweeter. If everything is sweet in Heaven with no sour even if you want it, then it'd be no challenge and it'd start to get boring. Same old perfect this, same old perfect that....

i'm about to apply to graduate school...like everyone i have the choice to either stay in-state or out-of-state. the thing is i think it would be better for me to stay in state and also near my home for financial reasons [because come on tuition is not the only thing i'll be paying and for graduate programs you will have to take loans]. but people keep telling me to go out-of-state and just get a bigger loan and just pay it later...that sounds good but for some reason it seems irresponsible to me..i dont know maybe i'm over-thinking about this...what would YOU do if you were in my shoes???

I know, I know, this question assumes a lot, that most people who don't accept evolutionary theory do so because of incompatible religious beliefs, and if that isn't the case and never has been, if you feel you object on a purely secular basis, great, this question is for you (and for those who can put aside their religious objections and speak only in secular terms):

What are you objections to evolutionary theory? What are some of the problems you see? What are some issues that you think haven't yet been resolved or cannot possibly be resolved?

(NOTE: I will not consider answers which argue "It's just a theory".)

Catholics were shocked by front-page newspaper stories that announced the dropping of many of their saints from the Church’s official liturgical calendar. Many Catholics evidently understood “dropped” to mean the abolishing of their saints. Confusion and discontent were widespread, and have not died out.

How come when Jesus was on earth he didn't appoint saints , nor did Paul , Peter ?

So Does Jesus approve of Appointing and Abolishing of Saints - and Why Does the Church Abolishes A Saint ?
