Seriously they thought the man would not make it through the night. His family asked if he wanted the preacher and he declined and stated he felt more at peace when I was around and wanted to see me.
I am just curious what your thoughts are of this.
Mind you I don't go in there and pray or any of that.
I really don't even know the guy all that well, he is the father of one of my hubby's friends. If anything I would flirt with him when I did some work at a nursing home he resides in.

In this aspect do you believe that even non-believers can have a spiritual bond with other people?

There can be different bonds. Only this man may know what the bond is. Perhaps it is a spiritual bond, like he is a soul mate. It may be entirely a physical bond and he enjoys your physical body to look at. It may be you have a wonderful healing energy and he senses it more than he would from a cold hearted priest. Without knowing all the facts, I can only offer an opinion. Some people just need the human touch to feel loved. We all desire to be loved and if this person can be healed by your energy and flirting , then what could be wrong with that. Be careful to keep it no more than flirting. There are lessons in all actions sometimes. Be a healer, not a hindrance to the soul.

Maybe it is not a matter of religion. Maybe it is not a matter of philosophy at all. Not all the dying wish to part on a wing and a prayer. Comfort, sympathy, an ear that listens. Those are things that must not be undervalued. Perhaps you meant something special to him; or perhaps you are just more detached from his woes... A laugh, a grin beats a tearful farewell for some. Anyway, may he be in peace... And just because you are a 'non-believer' it doesn't mean you don't have emotions. "Spiritual bond' is just semantics when what you mean to express is empathy. That, I wish we all had...

God may be using you to be a blessing to him... God uses those whose hearts are open whether they believe or not... nowhere in the Bible does it say that God will not move/use them that do not believe... He made you and purposed you...and may very well be calling you to some higher purpose... this might be his way of asking if you accept?
And really many times we Christians get too caught up in the religious aspect to be open to God's power...we easily forget that we are saved by grace...

on my death bed ...
I hope I am with someone that i love and connect with ( believer or otherwise )
I would rather have that , than someone who doesnt particularly care for me other than my salvation

you do NOT have to be religious or have any religious beliefs to be spiritual ... or make a connection with someone

the old man is wise xx

maybe... youre ..."energy".... just made him feel good and happy and at peace.....and what more could you ask for when you are on the way out...... to feel...happy, comfortable, safe, ....and loved...and to see a smiling face... that makes him feel like a man again. we all need a bit of that... no matter what age....or condition?

Your probably really pretty and guys your age are immature and intimidated by you. The older guys [or perverts] just like youger women and are to stuped and careless not to hide it.
