Interesting response. The source is the bible. Is there any Christian out there willing to give an exact source to this quote?
The answerer was given 3 thumbs up, so he's obviously not alone in his belief.

"Science by it's very nature commands us to question & seek the truth"
Frosty, so true. I tip my hat to you sir.
Science as a word is taken from the latin "scientia" meaning knowledge.

Angelo, do you not think you're being a tad simplistic? Has all the medication you've ever taken in your life improved your health or was it all just a placebo effect? There's truth in medicine. We've all proved it to be effective and therefore true.

Andy, if it's so "nice" and "true" could you possibly back up this quote with a bible reference? You're not answering the question. Read the question.

Blind faith in anything is proof positive of brainwashing!
To follow the dictates of religion is the most evil (pun intended) because it is directed towards children from the earliest possible age!
Science by it's very nature commands us to question & seek the truth!
The three best known religions (Judaism, Islam & Chrisianity) require from it's followers complete obidence and trust in it's teachings. These religions not only dicourage critisism but will disavow anyone that does.
I believe in freedom absolutely, freedom to think, freedom to follow ones own course in life, however I must say that the choices some people astound me.

There is one thing for sure this global warming has got to be the biggest con ever ,One so called expert says that Polar Bears are dying out and the ice is melting and a guy who is a naturalist who lives at Hudson's Bay in northern Canada says the bear population is increasing and the ice this year is twice as thick as last year.It seems to me you can lump scientist and politicians in the same lying sack

Scary, isn't it. That's why I'm considering moving to a country that has a little more tolerance for other religions. Like Iran, or maybe Syria.

If science is so blind, how do you explain the wonderful machine you're currently typing on? It sure beats being a shepherd, or making clothes from animal skins doesn't it?

We know that scientists brainwash people so that they can continue to get their grants to keep them in business. They use the famous "peer review" to bar anyone from publishing truth if it contradicts their current views.
You don't publish? You don't get grants. That's it!

And yet those who claim this will not try to objectively verify or disprove the claims that they make as truth. Sad and scary at the same time.

perhaps they are using microwaves to brainwash us, and then adjusting the fossils and other evidence in photoshop to fool us all, the cunning buggers!
Bet Stephen Hawkins is secretly Jarvis Cocker of Pulp, when he's not masquerading in that wheelchair!
