I don't care HOW glorious and HOW great people say Heaven will be and how it will feel there compared to here and all of these other things I can do there, and as they put it, "more joyful things" there, all I'm gonna say is that I can AT LEAST STILL experience everything there as I've gotten to experience here on Earth in some area up there if I REALLY want to. One of my many examples here is what about the RUST-FREE treasure in Heaven? What if you wanna know what it still feels like to watch treasure rust and feel the rust by rubbing it with your hand? If the treasure in Heaven never rusts whether you like it or not, then you won't get to experience everything afterall. Afterall, sometimes it's nice to have the sour to make the sweet, sweeter. If everything is sweet in Heaven with no sour even if you want it, then it'd be no challenge and it'd start to get boring. Same old perfect this, same old perfect that....

Good point.

You're right, it would be nice to be able to do more things, not just different things. But I'm sure our concept of the afterlife is extremely limited.

And, my definition of "perfect" may be a bit surprising to some. Heh heh heh.

Well, everything you want to happen in heaven will happen only if it is in accord with God's will. So if you want things to rust in your house then I suppose God will have it rust but if your talking about sin being in heaven (sex, adultery, stealing) then no, that's not allowed. And the same old perfect this wouldn't be noticed because you'll enjoy the perfection. The only reason why you "notice" it now is because you haven't experienced seeing the perfection yet.

The example we have of a resurrected being is Jesus Christ. He has a physical, glorified body. He could eat and drink with the apostles. He could touch and be touched.

If you want sour, spicy, tangy or pungent, it will be there.

Of course there are certain things that may not be available. Our family relationships end with death unless they are sealed for eternity on the earth.

Yes, but if you get your sour and your rust, then someone else will be unhappy and not have their 'heaven,' so either you aren't going or, more likely, heaven is only in our minds.
