I will be staying at their house for 3 days and I don't think food is really necessary because my bf said there will be plenty. So should I take like an actual gift? And if so what is appropriate?

In my expereince, any time someone comes for dinner there are 3 possible choices of something to bring....1-flowers, 2-wine and 3- dessert. Ask your boyfriend which one he thinks they will appreciate the most.

find out from your bf the things his parents like. I think it should be something for the house. Dinning table candles if they are into that kind of thing or it could be something about you. If you are into any kind of art a handmade item may be appropriate. Time pieces of any kind are not good as many people think they are bad luck. You could also bring some thanksgiving decoration for them to put up to make the home more festive...good luck

Take a recent, something small and much less costly yet exciting that's annoying for them to get. as quickly as I met my Russian boyfriend's father and mom for the 1st time, I took a calendar of British usa scenes (i'm English) and additionally cigarettes that they might't get in Russi for his dad and brother who smoke. It would not could be costly yet placed some thought into it. that's totally not likely you will insult the entire kin. Russians are very open and annoying to insult. for sure launching right into a communicate approximately conflict or faith isn't a large thought yet that's the comparable everywhere. i became so annoying as quickly as I first met them yet each and every thing became effective. in line with probability I have been given fortunate with my in-regulations yet i think of in the event that they see you adore their son and he loves you, they're going to such as you. have relaxing. It would be appropiate to bring something as a token gift. A Christmas ornament, seasonal basket, bottle of wine. I find that people respond well with the wine.

Maybe you could take something simple like flowers with seasonal colors in them. Or, if they celebrate a particular holiday in December, maybe take them an ornament or a decorative item. Flowers are a safe and easy choice though.

A nice bottle of wine, or a nice centerpiece for the dinner table would be welcome, even some lovely scented candles. It's a nice thought to bring a gift.
