I am just so intrigued as to why well educated people still believe in Creationism. It is still possible for people to believe in a universe that contains a god without there being creationism. For example it is still unknown as to what caused the Big Bang, this could have been god. It also doesn't disprove the bible either if creationism doesn't exsist. Jesus spoke in parables, who is to say that the book of Genesis isn't also a parable like story. Why keep an obviously disproven concept alive if it doesn't aid anyone or anything.

I myself do not believe in a god, but there is no definative proof for god's non existance so I can't garantee I'm right. Evolution however can and has been proven again and again. There are examples of organisms evolving all around us, along with fossil evidence,DNA evidence etc.

This is not an attack on anyone, and I know there are a lot of similar questions out there.I am just interseted to hear how & why Creationists explain away all this evidence

but then if we're Jewish, we wont be necessarily feel compelled to follow Jesus, in which case we revert back to Christianity again? then do we have to convert to Judaism?

WATER IS CALLED BY DIFFERENT NAMES IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES – GOD IS CALLED BY DIFFERENT NAMES AS ALLAH, RAM OR JESUS

Question:

Water is called by different names in different languages: in English as water, in Hindi as paani, in Bengali as jaal / paani. Similarly if God is called either Allah, Ram or Jesus, is it not one and the same?

Assume that you make it to heaven, but your spouse and children have not joined you there. Does eternity worrying about loved ones burning in a lake of fire not break the idea that heaven is perfect? Has god not even in heaven condemed you to an eternity of misery and greif?

Hi,

I am wondering what orphan children do after they growup. Hope orphonage wont support them anymore and they have to take care of themselves. Is there any forum to help those. Please let me know as I wish to help few of them atleast in the best possible way I can.

I thought all judges in US courts were addressed as "Your Honor". I have seen TV Court people addressing a male judge as "Sir".
So, if that is correct do you address a women judge as "Madame" in court? This does not sound correct to me.

THink about it, they don't have hair on their arms, meaning apes have hair and humans compared not as much. Intellectually advanced, can't say atheltic but there are some exceptions. between the Rapture and the Second coming? What does a person need to do to be ready for the Rapture and/or the second coming? let the athiests nominate themsleves as Gods, and everyone an vote on who wins the position. This would make athiests believers, and will make them friends with the Christians. They colud have contests, like an arm wrestling match where the athiest God plays against the Christian God. The problem is, The Christian God would never show up for the tournamant.

Sorry, folks, that this may not be an R&S question, but I couldn't find any other category... please pardon and bear with me....

Today, in a nearby town, a man shot/killed his wife, and then shot/killed himself. I know this has been going on for years, but it baffles me WHY anyone would DO this?

Please... if you have ANYTHING to share to shed light upon WHY someone would commit murder/suicide, I might be able to comprehend it better!
