Assume that you make it to heaven, but your spouse and children have not joined you there. Does eternity worrying about loved ones burning in a lake of fire not break the idea that heaven is perfect? Has god not even in heaven condemed you to an eternity of misery and greif?

Well, first let me say that I don't agree with the doctrine of hell as it's understood by evangelical Christianity (basically how you summed it up.)

Putting that point aside, I find it terribly poetic when the scripture says "God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away." (Rev 21:3-4)

The horrible significance is that it doesn't say, "there will be no more tears." It says God himself will wipe every tear from our eyes. In other words, God takes us like a mother takes her child and comforts us, and our pain and crying and mourning and death become transformed into "first things" which pass away. It is a "new reality" which we cannot conceive, any more than a baby in the womb could conceive of the cosmos.

(I don't know how anyone reconciles that idea with the idea that their loved ones are tormented for eternity, personally.)

Peace to you.

No When your major premise is wrong your conclusion is wrong.
1) There is no eternal burning suffering for those who choose not to serve the Spirit, When the die they die and their thought patterns are no more nor are they remembered eventually even by God.
2) In any future that could be considered heaven everyone who you expect or want to see will be there. Whether they are a construct from your wish and memory of them or their actual spirit you will not be likely to ever determine and after a thousand years or so it won't matter.
The concern for everyone is whether you will exist in the future after corporeal death or not.
The life of the non believer is like a balloon full of air. When the balloon breaks they are gone forever. The life of the believer is like a balloon ful of frozen water. When the balloon breaks their soul is the same forever.

All of the miseries in life including the most bitter of your memories will be forgotten come the day you made it to heaven. It is the God that cannot lie promised a life eternal, full of joy and free of grief.

Hell is when we continue to externalize god/consciousness. Those who don't raise their vibrational level are in hell. Faster vibration is necessary to ascend.Religion was created to keep vibrational levels low and feeding the negative elites energy grid. It is fed with negative emotions and prayers. We are our answer, collectively and individually. A faster vibration is above all problems of the world. Positive changes are made by raising our vibration for the whole and the one. All that said, things just flip flopped.

There is no misery or suffering in heaven.
God's will is done there.
Misery and suffering are the result of sin and rebellion.
All this will be confined in the future to the Lake of Fire.
You may want to take steps now to avoid that place.
You don't seem to grasp the concept.

so, the moral of this story is dun let your loves one stray from the right path while you and your beloved still on earth..but in the end all the believers who once said believed to the only true god, will enter heaven after all their sins "paid" in hell..someday..

Only when there's lightening.

Seriously though, I've seen so many people on this site claim that you won't even care about them or know they exist anymore. How horrible of a thought is THAT?? Geez...cold hearted.

No, in heaven you are removed from earthly belongings and thoughts. You would not be cognizant of family that wasn't there and you wouldn't know of suffering. Your role in heaven is different than your role on Earth, as are your thoughts, feelings and purpose.
