I see by the thumbs down why so many are afraid.

I can't say I'm looking forward to the idea of not being able to experience all that my life has to offer anymore, but I'm not so afraid of non-existence that I have to cling to the notion that I'll somehow have a second life-after-death. Given that ceasing to live is an inevitable part of the process of living, it'd be silly to fear that which I cannot control. When it happens, it happens, and I'll just have to make the best of whatever time I do have left in my life.

No I am not afraid of death but I am not brave enough to make a suicide because:
1) as spoken by God in the Qur'an and also I see in the fact in our community that all creatures will die
2) death is the decision of God that we can not prolong or
increase or shorten or decrease our lives temporaly as stated in the Qur'an
3)suicide is prohibited as spoken by God in the Qur'an because it against with God's decision and it will have a great sin and the related person will be entered into hell.
4).I should avoid to disobey to all God's instructions and prohibitions as stated in the Qur'an for preparing my death. If i have mistakes I ask for God's forgiveness and I would not do the same mistakes.
5)I will make good doings which give benefits to others as an invesment for the eternal life after death as instructed by God in the Qur'an

I am not as afraid of my own death as I am of the death of people I love.

I'm unsure? I'm not so afraid of actually passing on, but sometimes I want it to be quick and easy. Honestly, I worry sometimes I'm more afraid of life than death. I mean life as I know it on earth. It becomes a chore worrying about what to wear, what to eat, how to make money, etc. Will we have to worry about all of that in the life to come? If not, welcome!

Death itself doesn't scare me, but the dying part is gonna suck!

And just because you're an atheist doesn't mean you can't be afraid of death.

If I had a choice I think I'd rather just hope that the Rapture take place and skip the dying part. Although I do not fear the after life because I know where I'm going. Praise God!!!

No. I'm just afraid of the pain that might precede death, as I have a very low tolerance for it. I don't mind dying, as long as it's painlessly.
