What do you say when you don't hear someone properly?

Hmmm?
Say what?
Pardon?
Come again? (that one always makes me laugh!)
Excuse me?
Huh?
Could you repeat that?

Or something else?

A neatly dressed salesman stopped a man in the street and asked -
"Sir, would you like to buy a a bottle of this mouthwash for $200.00?"

Aghast, the man said, "are you NUTS?, that's robbery!"

The salesman seemed hurt and then tries again -
"Sir, since you are a bit irate, I'll sell it to you for 1/2 price at $100.00?

Again, the man replies bluntly - "you must be crazy pal, now go away!"

The salesman then reaches into his briefcase and pulls out 2 brownies and begins munching away on one of them. He tells the irate guy -
"Sir, please share one of my brownies since I have annoyed you so much".

Unwrapping the brownie, the guy takes a bite; suddenly, the guys spits it out and says:
"HEY," he snarled, "this brownie tastes like crap!!!"

"It is," replied the salesman. "Wanna buy some mouthwash?"

I'm falling for a guy who has been recently divorce. According to the bible the divorce is allowed because there was adultery involved. Problem is he was the one who committed it. I don't want to hear that i shouldn't be falling for a known cheater. I've already forgave him for that. I am trying to followed the rule of the bible and i wanted to know if i could marry him without becoming a adulter.

Your solution of population control, life or death, is determined by your genetic make up. After genetics makes the final decision, logic is used to support it.

Global warming? Magnetic reversal? Or something else? I know everyone is saying that it means the end of the world, but I think that is because a lot of people are hooked on apocalypticism gone wrong. Most likely the end of the calendar means a change with huge implications, rather than an end to all life?

A comparative religion course, teaching basic beliefs and both the history and the current state of major world religions. It would be taught objectively like everything else (i.e. no emphasis on one religion or any at all being "truth) and offered as an elective. Would anyone actually have a problem with that?

I just read a question that just asked "Do you think religion should be taught in public schools" and everyone pitched a fit in their answers. The question didn't imply teaching Christianity or any other religion as truth, so I don't see why everyone got so worked up. I think offering a class teaching religion along the lines of what I suggested in the first paragraph would be nice.

My family have a huge Catholic Bible but it is not used for regular reading due to it's size and has lots of photo's in it etc. I want to start to read the Bible on my own, for personal study and spiritual growth. I am confused by how many versions of the Bible that there are. Any recommendations?

to NOT use a living Christmas Tree? I have used artificial trees for years. Besides, real trees cost too much and I would be taking more from the environment.

I'm writing a story at the moment; i have the plot, setting characters and everything except the names of my two main characters!!! I am terrible when it comes to giving names to characters
I really need suggestions!!!

The first person is an emo girl with black hair with purple streaks and has a terrible past and emotional problems. any names for her???

The second person is a boy with anger management issues, has a reputation of being someone who rushes blindly into fights and never really trusts anyone.
Also; not "real" names like Robert, Nichole or Micheal, but like, those "odd" names like Fang, Angel or Sunny.

Please give any suggestions u have; I don't care if u think them as ridiculous!!!

Should the card opening be placed up or down in the envelope and should the front of the card face the opening or the back of the envelope? Does this rule apply for all cards, invitations, birthdays etc... or does it matter how the card goes in the envelope at all.

I grew up Catholic and never had any issues with having fun and going to Halloween. I must admit that I grew up in New Orleans and we also had mardi gras and all that other stuff that Catholics also had no problem with, including lots of drinking.

Why are other Christians so up tight about having fun on Halloween or so many other occasions? Would Jesus really mind you going to the neighbor's house to get some candy for the kids?

I notice many bible perversions say "love" never fails; but the evidence is law love often fails, forgets, and even forsakes ppl: wrongful accusations, wrongful convictions, divorces, soured relationshps, national wars, world wars, now even water wars.

Many say the greek 'agape' should be translated "love"; But don't seem to know the difference between the two 'agpao' law loves of Matthew 22: 36-40 and the 'agape' grace love that the only true God is.

So Bible Translators distinguish it by using "charity" in the Holy Bible (KJV). But modern perversions have re-translated it to "love"; thereby making God(is love) the author of confusion, rather than peace. My Bible says God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace.
