I never understood that either...it's as if the first lesson fof the Bible already teaches you you're imperfect and should be ashamed of yourself....just for having a body.

when a child is young, because of their innocence they are unable to comprehend nakedness.
when they get older they get the idea.

The triggering point is simply this.
Once they ate the fruit, they have violated their relationship with God.
When a married couple see each other naked, they don't feel ashamed, they find more intimacy.

When a stranger finds you naked, you most likely feel ashamed and will try to cover yourself up.

Similar case happened when mankind lost intimate relationship with God by breaking his trust.

Because of the broken trust between mankind and God, mankind no longer had intimate relationship with God and so they felt ashamed of their nakedness.

You been to groups where there are people who love to hug?
Well imagine that similar feeling when someone tries to hug you and you don't have a relationship with them, in a sense you dont know them..

Jesus said in revelation "depart from me you workers of lawlessness, I NEVER KNEW YOU"
this he said to people who want to get into heaven using their miracles and demon exorcism as proof that they are "right"
with God. These people perform miracles and things without a relationship with God, they continue to sin and their works are unauthorized. So even with that , they were not allowed to enter heaven.
