and if god is all powerful, why did he need to rest on the fourth day... that would imply limited power.

i have a book which mensions this called 'time' by alexander waugh. which really does emphasis the contridictions in the bible. if he did it in 6 days, why did he do it all in one go if the universe was so hard to make, why didnt he do one day on and one day off? its all these questions which are pointless asking because religion will make on an excuse just to keep its self alive in modern society brain washing the young (i wonder if i get some thumbs down from angry cristains etc...)
also, would it not make more sence to say <1x10^-43 which is a plank length, the smallest amoiunt of meaningful time?
however, cristains may argue that 6 of our days may eb equivilant to be less than a plank length in gods eyes.

The unfolding of the Universe from the backgound Transdimensional Multiverse took only 1 X 10^-43 of a second and was completely random. No gods needed.

He could have done it in 1 millionth of a second but God took 6 days on purpose and the reason was that there might be a 7th day. God designed man to have a day of rest every 7th day and He gave us that example at Creation.
p.s. Chippy I don't think you are a retard but it was the 7th!

Besides being an Atheist you are also very ignorant about what you are talking about.
The Bible shows that God created the heavens and the earth, in other words, the universe IN THE BEGINNING.
Where does this mention days? Pay better attention in class or you'll fail the study.

And who told you that God's 6 days is not 1 x 10^-6 or even a million time lesser?

Be careful lest you test God. God is a Sovereign Lord and can do as He pleases.

And why did he wait so long to do it? What did he busy himself with during the infinitude of existence that preceded his creating this universe?

Good question. I wonder how long it took to sculpt Adam out of clay, too. He is supposed to be able to do anything, so where's the "poof"?

First, thank you for explaining exponentials to me, I had no idea. BTW the time you mentioned is just about what is accpeted for the big bang. Physical laws we know appeared seconds later. Can you enlighten us as to the cause of the instability which caused big bang ? I would really like to know...
