A Christian, like Jesus, is called to act with love in everything he/she does. So where is the place for loving anger?

The latest scripture I've been praying over is about Jesus in the temple with the money-changers (Matthew 21:12, Mark 11:15, John 2:8), and of course it brings up questions about the appropriate place for anger in a Christian's life. Obviously Jesus was Royally Ticked; in their dishonesty, the money-changers were hurting people who were trying to worship God.

Do you have thoughts on the application of that lesson for today, Oct. 29th, 2007?

Having been LDS/Mormon for 8 years, I am naturally drawn to any questions having to deal with the LDS/Mormon church. One thing I've noticed a lot on here is LDS/Mormons asking why other Christians don't consider them Christian. I remember hearing other Christians say that when I was LDS/Mormon. I wonder if Buddhists are the same way. Would one group of buddhists exclude another group and say they aren't true Buddhists/true followers of Buddha because they do it differently? Also, (going with the fact that I'm agnostic and don't believe in Jesus as the saviour, but for the sake of this question, I'm trying to look at this through a believer's eyes) what WOULD Jesus do. The Jesus that many Christians claim to believe in. If he were to come back and see the way so-called Christians treat certain sects who are different, how would he react?

Scientists have not always approached their work as practical atheists ("God may or may not exists, but I'm going to assume he doesn't while I work").

Is the ID movement different? Or has the scientific community changed?

Hey all! I was thinking (uh oh!) and came up with something I wanted to pass by you all. I have noticed that many of the witnesses on here that answer questions, do not identify themselves as a witness. Would it not be better, and would we not show a solid unity, if we all made sure that we tell people that we are witnesses, in each one of our answers? That way, people with the right heart condition would be abe to see that we are united in what we believe and that everything that comes from the witnesses is coming from the Bible. What do you think about that?

Occams razor. The big bang requires a point mass to create the universe as we know it. Creationism not only requires the same amount of mass, it requires something outside the four dimensions as we know them. This outside thing must be able to store and process information, and act within the four dimensions we know. This requires some sort of way of not only data storage for his own function, but data storage and processing and energy for "snapping into being" matter in a low entropy state. Only one assumption and mininum energy is needed for the big bang arguement--a huge amount of energy, an extra dimensional intellegence and creation of mass from energy is required for creationism. So by Occams razor, which is the simpler proposition?

I just have an honest question. My name is Ed and I am a 36 year old guy. I don't do anything more than look but why is it frowned upon when I guy checks out a pretty girls assets such as legs, chest, and butt. I mean it isn't a crime to look nor is it unnatural. I went to the mall and I saw a lot of pretty slim women with short skirts on and had nice legs. I was looking because they looked hot. I went to a high school football game and was watching the girls flip and do cheers and was looking at their legs and butt. Whats wrong? I am a guy. My friend Dominic thinks I am a pervert and my sister Erin does to. Am I? Whats so bad about it? I like girls legs and butts!!

I usually try and get a neutral holiday card to send out to friends and family every year but just really like some designs that are Xmas themed. Is it rude to send out these photocards to friends who are Jewish or don't celebrate Xmas? I usually order about 80 photocards with my son and dog on them to send out.

I have seen several TV shows and read several things on when some people think the world will end. Last night I was watching the History channel and they had two shows about Nostrodamus. In one show they say that he can't see past the year 3797. Then in the next show, they say that he is giving us a message about the year 2012. So which is it?
According to the Mayan calendar, our cycle will also end in 2012. Psychic Sylvia Browne can't see past the year 2100-so again, which one is it?
No doubt that in December 2012 there will be a huge alignment among the stars, but will it affect us THAT much? On one hand this scares me deeply, but on the other, I have to have my doubts.
Maybe the Mayans are right and we are going to end-but hopefully end all the crazy stuff that is going on around the world. We must take this as a wake up call. We all have to become one, and treat this planet better.
I would love to hear what your thoughts and feeling are on this. What have you seen, what do you think will happen?

IT IS!

Ever heard of the Leviathan - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leviathan

Or the Behemoth - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behemoth

Both of these are mentioned in the bible as real things (some say demons, some say big animals) sent by God
Since it's written in God's word (and according to Christianity Gods word is immaculate) Christians believe in this

So after seeing the Leviathan and Behemoth;

Non-Christians; Your views? does it change your opinion (for better or worse) on Christianity (if you didn't know about it)

Christians; Did you know you believed in this? If not your views after finding out?

I'm not criticizing I'm just trying to find peoples views, thanks for the answers

People says the very elect will be Jesus Christ. The bible warns that it is God who'll decide who the very elect will be, not the people.
Why has people decided the very elect will be God himself, when the bible says it will not be God himself? People says that Jesus Christ is God himself.
Who's correct about who the very elect will be, who people says or God says?

I hear creationists saying that the Big Bang is false because "something" must have created all the matter and energy. These same people assert that God does not require a creator because he is eternal.

What I'm wondering is, why can't matter/energy be eternal? It seems like they should be, based on the laws of physics.

Why do they require a creator when we know that matter and energy cannot be created?
