God is love. (I know, taking the easy way out on that one. But it's SO true!)

When one says there are no words that means they have not yet seen or do not know, because there are Unlimited words to describe Him. An impersonalist can not describe Him because they have not been blessed with they eyes to see or the ears to hear His discription. They think in a materialistic way if God has a form then that form is limited. But that is not the fact. Gods form is Unlimited and Transcendental and He can expand unlimitedly and yet remain the same. We are to use our tongue to vibrate His glories, that is the purpose of the human beings. Ananta Shesha has thousands of heads and he is constantly glorifying the Supreme Lord with those mouths. He says his glorification will never end, because He is so unlimited. Just for starters. He is the Supreme Personality of God head. He is the Most Beautiful, He possesses everything(most wealthy), He is the Strongest, He possesses all knowledge, He is the most renounced, He is the knower of past present and future in all cases. He is the source of Everything. He has a complection of a mansoon raincloud,He wears a peacock feather in His Jeweled Crown, each part of His Transcendental body can perform the activities of any other part. He can taste with His eyes, see with His ears etc. One can know the glories of the Lord by inquiring from one who Has seen Him. He is available to one who becomes His friend, like Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita as it is BY Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada. God reveals Himself to the sincere surrendered soul. What can He do if one does not accept. He Benedict's us all with free will.

Undoubtedly! there are truly no words we can ever use to describe his grace. But, to answer your question, i'll quote one surah from QURAAN which ALLAH has asked to quote whenever anyone asks about ALLAH:-
SURAH IKHLAAS(SINCERITY):-
In the name of God¸ Most Gracious¸ Most Merciful.

1. Say: He is God¸ the One and Only;

2. God¸ the Eternal¸ Absolute;

3. He begetteth not¸ nor is He begotten;

4. And there is none like unto Him.

Strangely, the same lines are given in vedas. This has proven that hinduism is quite different from what today's hindu paint it as. There was no idol worship in it.

We as humans with our limited imaginations can not even begin to fathom the right words to describe the power, glory and love that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Our God is an awesome God, he is the Alpha and Omega, he is the The Great Ancient of Days and his return is eminent. Chosen or rejected the choice is ours.

i agree- there are no words that can capture the totality of God. (maybe that's why there are so many theories!)

the definition that works best for me is is layered, as to get different perspectives - yet even this doesn't (can't) say it all

God is~
the All of Everything, and the space between
the Process of Life that is in everything,
the movement behind all things (think sub-atomic particles)
the Collective of All Consciousness, including you and all beings
Unconditional Love
the Unmovable Mover, or Constant Change,
the Infinite, the Absolute, the Eternal
the Supreme, Being ( I am that I am)

Projecting one's ecstatic feelings and attributes onto a personified deity is a normal psychological process, but it doesn't contribute to spiritual growth and development of higher levels of consciousness - NOR to the world.

We each are godlike creators of our experience of reality, but until we detach from our conditioned identity's control of perception, thought, feeling and action, we are only automatons - no matter how euphoric our emotional highs, imagining existing within the grace of a personified deity. It is a waste.

God/Reality mirrors the contents of consciousness no matter how deluded, silly or profound. We are not separate from this quantum field and the hologram we experience - WE are projecting based on our programmed illusions about self and the world.

People genuinely WANT to contribute to a better world. But, the one thing we each can actually do to make a vast difference is simply to wake from our ego's self-absorbed delusion.

In the beginning there was the 'Word' and the 'Word' was with 'God' and 'God' said, "Let there Be".

Here there are three aspects: 'God' (the Luminal, the Absolute or Perfect Radiance): the 'Word', the Nominal (pre cosmic) and 'Let there Be' (the phenomenal or the apparent world of manifestation.

We are not 'independent' beings.
Our freedom depends on our complete recognition of this.

The most beauyful luminous point of conscious, blissful energy.

Yes, His wonder is such that one could never fully express it in words. Instead by experiencing God's wonder others too will receive these most elevated vibrations.
When we think of God our thoughts become most elevated and so does the atmosphere around us. It is the need of this time and one who can fulfill this need is a world server.

you cannot describe something that's so big because the description will limit what god is.
it's like the blind people who touched an elephant and each touched a different part and so described the elephant in a different way:
it's a pipe, said the man who touched the trunk
it's a rope said the man who touched the tail
it's a barrel....... the stomach
it's a pillar .... the legs...
and so on and so on...
