I always say thank you, but sometimes it gets akward when the person infront of you has to go through say 2-3 doors and they hold each one for you. Do you say thank you every time? I usually do but it feels redundant.

NOPE! I always say thank you to men or women who hold the door for me. I am not afraid to hold the door for someone else either, thank you or not. Know that you are a better person for showing kindness/respect to another by holding the door. THANK YOU!

It may be hard to some people. For they feel they are superior to others. However it often stems from shyness and shear indifference.
If you held the door for me, I would thank you without question for it is an honor.

Thanks for your Q

It isn't hard to say thanks for a door being held open, it's not like it's going to take up anymore time than it takes to walk through the door. I always thank someone that holds the door.

Nope. BUT, there are ignorant people everywhere, especially women, with their overinflated egos about being empowered and equal, that tend to flip you off and are causing the end of chivalry.

No, it's not. But so many people wander through life with their cell phones glued to their ear, they forget the little courtesies to those that they actually come in contact with.

Go Figure! For rude people (and this World is full of them!), they don't know the meaning of the word "thanks", but it's nice to know that there are still some gentlemen left in this World. Thanks!

No, I always say thank you. It's pretty rude not to.
