When someone of another faith says that they've met, walked with, talked to, or felt the power of a god/spirit that contradicts with your understanding of the supernatural, are they lying? Delusional? Mistaken?

Hello Everyone.. :)

I do not want any anger or evil words said against one another..~Please~

I am just asking for your honest thoughts and opinions..on the questions I have asked.. :)

The questions are:

1.) If a child is in it's mothers womb and someone kills the mom and unborn child..Why then can the person, be charged with a double homicide?

2.) Is it because the child is a living human being, with the same rights as ours?

3.) But a child who is aborted by their Mom's, do they not have the same right or dignity?

4.) Is it because they say, the baby is not a living human being, like us?

7.) Who or what then decides a childs rights, have been terminated or violated?

These types of questions have burdened my heart..

As they seem to contridicate one another.. :(

Why or why not? If so, to who are you giving thanks?

example: a school bus falls off a cliff killing 43 children. only 1 survives. people call it a miracle that one survived. if god had a hand in the miracle of that child surviving, then he also had a hand in murdering the other 43!

so was this act one of kindness for saving that special child, or one of murder for killing the rest?

is a miracle only that in the eyes of the beholder? if so, is it really from god?

thanks billbob ; )

What is up with Bigfoot? Why didn't he/she evolve?

2007-10-24 02:48:53 · 9 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

Evolution is also controlled by God . As I saw in Muslim literatture one of Gods name is Al BARI which means THE EVOLVER..

So isnt reasonable to conclude that God is the origniator of evolution?

I dont want answers bashing Islam religion or insulting the religions.

Short and good answers would be better

Also: If God didnt started evolution , then how did it began by itself?

The American Religious Heritage from England was basically 4 groups. Presbyterian(basically Scottish in origin), Methodist, Baptist, and (low) just church as opposite to high church(Anglican). A very important point is that the vicars/reverends, etc actually got a stipend(salary).

Since then in the US, it seems these groups have further subdivided, with perhaps others added, Cathlocism arrived and so on. I am told that the Pastors, etc, make their salary from the collection plates. Thus they largely have to tell the congregation what they want to hear to live other than in poverty. There is thus also commercial competition between the churches.

That the Catholics and the Protestants dont speak with the same voice is understandable enough, even though they are supposed to have the same God. But that the Protestant church doesn't do so seems to make you easy meat for those that would throw you to the wolves. Would you agree with that?

Yes i,am a Christian i just want to know what everything being said about God is true just what if you would risk being a non-believer and go to hell now i know you dont believe so you probably wont take the question seriously but, just think what if you are wrong? I dont know how many have read the bible but, its not going to be pretty on the day of judgement.

I am not religious, but my boyfriend is. He is a sincere Christian. He loves church and I do believe that God is the most important to him in this world. He has been writing checks and donating 700$ each month to church since long time ago. I feel it is a lot of money to donate. What can I do about it?

Given that the history of God traces Him back to the times when the tribe of Israel was in Egypt and adopted the Arab notion of God, what makes you think he is on the side of the USA when you are in Iraq killing Iraquis?

First, I would like to say it seems like a great translation. There are a lot of pages filled with explanations and a history of Muhammad. I would like to have a few other sites for reference as I read from the Qur'an. Do you have any suggestions?

If anyone else is interested in getting one, they are available for free at http://www.freekoran.com/ . I would suggest it to anyone interested in learning about Islam it includes a lot of information that explains what various passages mean, a few definitions of words, and a history. No I am not a Muslim, but I do like learning about religions.

The Bible does say that if one eats and drinks unworthily then he is guilty of the body and blood of Christ. But if you are only eating a symbol of his body and blood, then wouldn't you be guilty of a symbol? And how is that possible?

I mean..I know that Jesus literally and explicitly tells us in chapter 6 of John that it truly is his flesh and blood, but not everyone believes what Jesus said...
