The American Religious Heritage from England was basically 4 groups. Presbyterian(basically Scottish in origin), Methodist, Baptist, and (low) just church as opposite to high church(Anglican). A very important point is that the vicars/reverends, etc actually got a stipend(salary).

Since then in the US, it seems these groups have further subdivided, with perhaps others added, Cathlocism arrived and so on. I am told that the Pastors, etc, make their salary from the collection plates. Thus they largely have to tell the congregation what they want to hear to live other than in poverty. There is thus also commercial competition between the churches.

That the Catholics and the Protestants dont speak with the same voice is understandable enough, even though they are supposed to have the same God. But that the Protestant church doesn't do so seems to make you easy meat for those that would throw you to the wolves. Would you agree with that?

I believe your question has been answered through the responses above. Every Christian is saved by the same thing--belief in Jesus Christ. Those who concentrate on doctrines are missing the point. Christians have been killed by other Christians not because of their faith, but because of their doctrine.

Sometimes, I think non-believers should just stand back and let us do their work (destroying the Church) for them. And I am referring to the Body of Christ, not any particular denomination.

it really is an fairly large generalization for those those who do not matter on your mythology and do not actually have a real employer. in order to point we are conspiring to divide Christianity is in simple terms inane. As for even in case your faith is evil or no longer, it really is contained in the interest of the beholder. honestly Christians have killed many contained in the call of god to get those human beings's wealth or land, yet like some thing, adult males can bend sturdy issues to evil even as it matches their desires.

absolutely divided. that is why there are so many denominations. christians cannot even agree on how to baptise, what to eat, how to take the sacrament, etc. it is a wonder the church has survived this long...er wait a minute... I forgot, the church Jesus started in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Catholic church following the decision on the Nicene Creed. the church of jerusalem was destroyed for heresy, they would not accept the creed of Nicea. In retaliation, the catholic church had them sold into slavery where it is believed all the original members perished in the circus arena. to me, the christian church no longer exists.

The only ones who would throw us to the wolves are ourselves. Christianity is not under enormous external threat.

Actually, Christians are not saved and are not Catholics, because Christians teach a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell.

They aren't even saved yet.
