I've been blocked by a couple people here and there, and okay, tat's their perrogative, but for myself, I don't like to block and haven't because I truly believe that everyone has worthwhile things to contribute. I like seeing ideas that differ from my own. Sometimes they make me sad, sometimes they make me mad, but they always make me think, and that's why I come here.

If you block people, why? Not specific people - that's between you and the Yamster - but what sort of criteria do you use? What makes you want to sheild yourself from someone's opinion?

Just curious. :-)

I often hear that Christians are are just wishful thinking or atheists don't want to be responsible for their sins and this is why we believe / don't believe.

Personally, I would prefer that there was a God, but I still dont believe there is.

Do your beliefs coincide with what you desire to be true?

I notice many YA members bashing people if their english grammar, or spelling is not perfect.
Please keep in mind that this Yahoo Answers forum is for Yahoo worldwide ~ see all the flags down there?

Let's have a little patience and constraint with our criticisms. Some of these people may be just learning English and find this a fun way to share what they know ~ only to be slammed for spelling and grammar errors.

Let's Keep it Fun!

This was true when I was in Panama from 1982 until 1989. I would wonder the streets and people would make fun of my purple dress. I thought it was weather appropriate. Excuse me!

Would you please find God?

First and foremost, this is not meant to be insulting but a genuine inquiry. If you are or are not polytheistic it does not mean I think any less of you or your religion. I like a lot of Mormons and find the religion fascinating.

So here goes, from what I have read from various articles on the net from LDS.

1. Heavenly Father is God.
2. Jesus is God.
3. The Holy Spirit is God.

This combined with the belief that all three are seperate personages united in purpose.

Now even President Gordon B. Hinckley expressed that he worships Jesus.

I have even seen dispute, some mormons say they do worship Jesus, others say they don't. If you worship to separate personages even if they are united in purpose doesn't that make you polytheistic.

This question is not meant as a place to bash Mormons, please be respectful.

We are being forced by the Clintons and Giuliani’s and other congressional leaders to accept illegal aliens into our country. We have to accept them into our workplace, treat them like other workers (even if we can not understand each other), give them the same benefits (even if they do not pay taxes), allow them to have drivers license (even if they can not read the traffic signs), providing them with the number one form of identification used in the United States (the drivers license) and what ever else they want. Why are we fighting in another country for the peoples rights there when we are giving up our own here to the illegal aliens? Do you think the next political step is to force radio stations to play as many Spanish songs as American songs, the news has to have has many minutes in Spanish as American, and there has to be a one on one ratio in movies? I can almost see the day when American women have to give balanced birth; one illegal for every legal!

If you don't know, and just belief you aren't self-proclaiming, please support your belief by giving reasons why you feel your belief is reasonable.

Thank you all for taking the time to answer.

PS: Self-proclaiming ,to me, means blind faith. Or that, "You just believe because you don't want to go to Hell." Or, "You just believe because you believe."

PLEASE refer back to this question, as I will be responding to almost everyone. Thanks guys. God Bless.

Much as it would be awesome to make them fight to the death or something..... I'm just asking out of pure curiosity which of the two of them the general populace believes to be the more extreme christian?

Primoa seems internally consistant... and at least speaks for himself, though he seems entirely out of touch with reality to a downright hilarious level... and hates Catholics.

Mr Judah on the other hand is a rampant citation-machine who quite possibly has never touched any keys on the keyboard besides Ctrl, C and V.

But which of the two of them loves Jesus more?
THAT is the question!

It was mentioned to me that it was wrong of me not to have yet sent out thank you cards to attendees of my loved one's wake. I really meant to, but have honestly not had the time to do it. We thanked everyone we greeted at the wake, and truly appreciate everyone's support and cards. I have all the cards that people gave, however, not everyone wrote an address and I don't know many of the names.

I have only occassionally received a thank you after attending a wake, but have never thought it was inappropriate not receiving one. What is proper in this situation?

Thank you.

History is replete with more advanced civilisations being taken over by barbaric uncultured peoples just coz the civilised people had some moral restraints while dealing with threats and the barbarians didnot!

The RCC has not made an official declaration of the shroud saying neither if it is really a holy relic or a false hoax created by an artist. They leave it up to the faithful to interpret.

So I ask you, is it really holy or is it the work of a humour artist?

Premarital sex was against the law of God because it was possible to get pregnant out of wedlock.
When condoms were invented and pregnancy out of wedlock was no longer a large concern, the Church said that premarital sex with condoms was still against the law of God because having a barrier degraded the act of intercourse.
When birth control was invented and having a physical barrier was no longer necessary to preventing pregnancy outside of wedlock, the Church said that premarital sex with birth control was still against the law of God because each act of intercourse had to be open to the chance of creating life.
I'm sure this is where they judge that homosexual acts are sinful because they can't create life.
So... this meant that married but infertile couples couldn't have sex? That married women past menopause couldn't have sex with their husbands?
If a woman is not ovulating when having sex with her husband, isn't that the same thing is not creating life?
It's all warped.

Given the fact that alarge portion of the country is in a drought, why do drivers think it is ok to throw their butt out the window?? Should these people go to jail for it? If they would show they have manners, they would not get so much flack. This is the reason they are seeing their smoking rights being taken away.
