Bird flu will be the next pandemic and scientists are trying to stop it from becoming so. It has successfully jumped species twice first birds then mammals, next humans.....hopefully this won't be like the plague in the dark ages! I would speculate that government has involvement in this.....a scientist probably tested this on a bird and the bird got out and then this all started. I would say that human ignorance causes most of our suffering.

If you were more specific that would help. If you are referring to Hurricane Katrina and the current fires in the Malibu area, I would remind you that all along the Gulf of Mexico we have what we call "Hurricane Season" *every single year*.
Similarly *every single year* about this time that part of California has wildfires.
Certainly *every single year* in December and between April and June in the USA thousands of people graduate with law degrees.
You can call it God, you can call it fate, I call it normal.
