Or do they know with the same passion, intensity, certainty?

I would expect them to know they are right as much as I know I'm right.

Otherwise, I'd expect them to search for what they believe to be right.

According to the Islamic perspective, there is only one religion for the mankind but-> it has been made corrupt over time and people becuase of their ignorance have started to wrship idols and other materliastic objects. The only message that remains in the some correct form is of the the jews and the christians and the only message in the most correct and pure form is of Islam. Thinking correct about religion has some to do with upbringing, only people with open mind can deiffrentiate.

Even though I grew up in a home in which we were taught that Jesus was a liar, possibly a lunatic, but above all else, very definitely dead, having had an encounter with Jesus Christ, I can no longer deny His existence as the very Son of God.

It's amazing how, after having met Someone, you can no longer deny His existence.

I believe that everyone feels the same about their as I do about mine
so I have no right to say I am right and they are wrong
I KNOW some parts of mine to be true.... that doesnt mean that some parts of others arent true , that doesnt mean everything I believe is true
I would be arrogant to think that I hold the whole truth

If I know, then any belief that contradicts my knowledge cannot be knowledge, merely incorrect, if passionately held, belief. Knowledge presumes the existence of "true" and "false" as real things. Knowledge also presumes some exclusivity for "true" vs. "false".

Simple epistemology, lad, simple epistemology.

The first part of your question applies to me, but not the 2nd.

I am sure of the truth of my Christian religion. I am fully aware that Muslims and Jewish people and Buddhists are equally sure of theirs.

The difference in the 2nd part is this: while many fundamentalists of any religion are sure of the truth of their beliefs, they also deny that my truth is valid in any way. That is the difference: I know that the extent that their belief system teaches love and not judgment or condemnation or exclusion, it teaches at least that much truth.

Its a fact that some people in every religion feel they are right.

Now some people, including myself, believe there is much we can learn from each religion out there. So, therefore, there is no ONE truth....there are MANY that you can learn from as long as you are open to them.

People need to realize that EVERY religion is correct.
For the most part, they teach the same things about how to live life.
So that makes them basically the same.
How people interpet things and teh specifics are the only thing different
Everyone needs to except everyone else

I don't know their heart or if they truly believe they are following God's truth. Only God knows; that is why no human can judge another.

all religion is false

religion is man made. rules to follow to be accepted of god

catechism

bowing to the Pope (which is against the bible)

Christianity is what Jesus did for you

he accepted you as you are and died knowing your sin.

no works needed just trust and believe.
