I went to a very seemingly nice jewelry store, and applied for a position there. The lady told me after I handed the application in that we are all Armenians here and That she was Hispanic. Do you want to work with us? What nationality are you? And then she looked down on the ground and said, well, you could go to the store which is a 45 minute drive from here.

Is this discrimination, and could there be enough for a lawsuit.

Note. I am Caucasian.

that by running in front of a moving train it would hit you would you take it? Of course not. Then what about there being a slight chance that God does exsist and He does offer Heaven to you as a free gift, shouldn't you jump in front of that?

If they are so hungry all the time then why don't they attack and eat each other?

Someone asked a question about what religion you are and why. I answered. It was totally my opinion of what religion I was and why I believed it. Then I get thumbs down for my opinon. Why do people thumbs down when stating what they personally believe when the answer is in no way demeaning or putting down anyone elses beliefs? It is just my opinion of my faith and why I believe that. How does answering a question about what I personally believe for myself warrant a thumbs down?

How do you get rid of your old faults and sins in the past? Do you think that repentance and strong will are required for having such feelings? Should a person relate his prospective thoughts and behaviors to the right paths which will lead him to the success in this terrestrial life?

On my last question a person said that without our beliefs, we are all basically the same: animalistic, having the same basic needs for survival and all seeking sexual gratification. So is this true? Is believing something is wrong what keeps us from doing it? Or for some, is it merely the understanding that others believe it is wrong?

I`m a (pantheist/atheist) so I do realize that certain belief systems are compatible.
But I don`t get how someone can say that the existence of God is unknowable too not believing in his existence at the same time?
If his existence is unknowable then you are contending that the question at hand can never be answered by human logic and reasoning. That it is above and beyond our comprehension. How can you go from that to saying that you do not believe (Through logic and reasoning) that he exists?

These two beliefs systems seem to be mutually exclusive.

The Old Testament Speaks of God standing on the earth both at the beginning:
"Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden."
Genesis 3:8

And at the end of time:
"I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.

And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;

I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!"
Job 19:25-27

So why is it a stretch to say Jesus was God in human form walking on the earth, and that he will return to the earth one day? It's right in the book of Job!

History of Christianity

Opposite development

Nietzsche saw a world–historical irony in the way that the Christian Church developed in antithetical opposition to the Evangel and the Gospel of early Christianity. The fable of Christ as miracle–worker and redeemer is not the origin of Christianity. Christianity's history is a "…progressively cruder misunderstanding of an original symbolism…": the death on the cross. Christianity became more diseased, base, morbid, vulgar, low, barbaric and crude. "As the Church, this morbid barbarism itself finally assumes power — the Church, that form of mortal hostility to all integrity, to all loftiness of soul, to discipline of spirit, to all open–hearted and benevolent humanity. — Christian values — noble values… ." Nietzsche expressed contempt for his contemporaries because they mendaciously called themselves Christians but did not act like true Christians. [to be continued]

Isn’t this a false dichotomy? A religion is a system of beliefs. What if you pursue a spiritual life, but not by any set of beliefs?
