The fact that witches (pagans, wiccans etc) don't actually have a concept of 'sin' would make this question void. Having a black cat is attributed to witches because of their need for a 'familiar', an animal that can ground them during spell and circle work. These animals not only provide spiritual guidance, but their energies help keep the witch safe during their circle works. During the middle ages, witches were said to have been able to take the form of their familiars - a cat was typically chosen as most people had one. Black was chosen simply because it's a colour associated with darkness, death etc.
So no, witches are witches regardless of what animal they keep.
