Yes most people will be more understanding, though there will still be those who are trapped in their throws of high school...and will continue to be close-minded and naive...so look where you go and venture off and be wary of people who seem to still be stuck in the past.

It depends on who you spend your time with...that what makes being an adult so awesome, well one of the things anyway. ou get more of a say on who surrounds you. Generally the friends that you make will be very compatible with you, and you will spend limited time with people that you don't necessary gel with.
Generally people grow up after high school. They mature and become more accepting. This is not true of everyone. There are plenty of people who never grow up out there, and it is quite unfortunate. Avoid them. The thing is that in high school people are all trying to be like someone else. They'll deny it if you ask them, but it's true. There is little individuality, and people tend to judge you against what is considered to be the norm. As they get older, they learn that all of that people pleasing is a pain in the butt, so they develop themselves into the people they'd like to be without a lot of concern about the opinions of other people.

from what I've experienced so far, people have been a lot nicer and cooler since i graduated from high school in '06 (i hate my graduating class). I've met nicer people from all walks of life, met more people than i did in high school and have grown up more in the 1.5 years of college so far than i did in the 4 years of high school.
In my high school, like any other im assuming, there were clicks that clashed, but in the college i go to, nobody cares what group you're with, just as long as you're not a jerk.

from what i hear(im still in high school too) people are a ton more accepting. can you imagine what the world would be like if everyone stayed as judgemental as they were in high school?
i'm not sure if college is better or worse though...

Nope. In the real world, they're more judgmental, and more eager to point out the differences. But--they're more willing to accept and at least try to understand those differences because they are more mature now.

Miss Katie, Darlin I wish that I could say yes but sorry the world seems to be growing darker and more judgemental by the day ! All you can do is put yourself in the hand of God by inviting Jesus Christ into your heart to be your lord and savior ! God bless you ! ! !
