Hello, all:

Was my answer to this question too harsh?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071014165824AA6UQwr&r=w#MLBvDVTdVTmP4FU2ZLYg

I do have problems with the idea of someone (a) asking for help with a creative endeavor intended to make money without offering recompense for that help (which I think can be reasonably inferred here), and (b) asking for help from Wiccans with creating an entertainment concept that would almost certainly misrepresent the Wiccan faith. What do you think? Is there even an issue here?

In the ever famous story of Job, what is the difference between what God allowed Satan to test Job at that time and how he allows Satan to test us now. If I remember correctly God claimed he would never allow us to be tested again. Isn't our entire life supposed to be a test of free will? Please explain. ;-)

Just curious to find out if anyone on YA has ever asked a question and had been given such horribly wrong advice (and you heeded it). If so what happened??

I've read some answers to questions that truly shock me. Some of the info given is almost cruel, and sometimes harmful to the parties involved.

Has this happened to you personally?

I'm not suidicdal, just so you know. It's just that, I find the idea of dying and FINALLY figuring out what happens after death very intriguing...so would say that, if death was near, I would welcome it with open arms...is this weird?

what if he doesnt give a d@mn how you worship him?(hence different religions) and just hopes you worship him one way or another? I mean I think when we die he could tell us that yes it was this way or that way instead of just sending us to hell for worshipping him the wrong way.

Why do people in this society worship youth? I love and look forward to becoming older and wiser. Age is just a number.
What are the benefits for becoming older and what do you enjoy about this season in life?

There was a young, pretty black woman who worked at a movie theater in Louisiana who had a mass of cloud-white hair. I figured it was just a wig or weave only to find out from one of her co-workers that it was completely natural and she had possessed as a child. Why would this happen? I've seen a couple of prematurely gray heads but never someone with her hair color. She also had an odd eye color too. Could it be a condition? Maybe an odd form of albinoism? Just wondering.

My grandma came to visit me today and we went to the supermarket. We turned the corner and there was was a couple there. The guy kept getting really close to where we were. He was just looking at stuff, but he was one of those people who gets uncomfortably close and hovers while he looks, kind of in the way. Anyway, we moved on down the aisle where my grandma parks the buggy to help me look at something. She parked it on the opposite side of the aisle, but there was no one close when she did it. Well, the couple moves toward us while our backs are turned and the guy grabs our buggy and starts pushing it down the aisle out of his way. I turn around and don't see our buggy. When I finally see him pushing it, I get mad, "Saying, well, there goes somebody pushing our buggy." I don't know if he heard me or not. When he stops pushing it, I grab the handle and push it haughtily over to my grandma, while mumbling. I heard his wife say, "...she said something..."

not allow the federal government to mandate a state sanctioned religion? Akin to the one the founding fathers left back in England? In fact, correct me if Im wrong, wasnt it originally just a federal law and not a state issue at all?

This is the First Amendment:

First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

I have recently begun studying this. Im not proposing to know all the facts, nor am I making a hard and fast decision. I would like to know what others think of this; preferrably ones who are well versed or more versed than myself on this subject.

SIDENOTE: I am putting this in our section because we are the only ones that are really active at this time and I would like some discussion on it.

I always feel guilty when my faith is weak, then I remember that one of the world's all-time most famous Christians said this:

"For me the silence and emptiness is so great, that I look and do not see,-listen and do not hear-the tongue moves but does not speak."
"Such deep longing for God-and...repulsed, empty-no faith no love-no zeal-(the saving of) Souls holds no attraction, Heaven means nothing."
"What do I labor for? If there is no God, there can be no soul-if there is no soul-Jesus-You also are not true."

anybody know who wrote these words?

Okay, so basically I have a dress-up like your favorite movie character day tomorrow at school.

I really want to be Simba, I got my make-up, hair and such figured out. But I don't know how to make my outfit look like him.

I don't have time to shop, and I need some clothing ideas that look really cute, but also look kind of like a lion.

Help?!
