Don't people know that the book of revelation was NOT the last book chronogically written in the bible? It simply happens to be placed last. Revelations 22:18 refers to the scrolls on which Revelations was written, not to the whole bible.

I have no problem with people not believing in the Book of Mormon, but you should at least have a valid argument.

I can certainly understand allowing anyone to join that wants to but...what about when they turn out to be total hypocrites? Even then I can understand trying to guide them onto the right path and giving them every benefit of the doubt,but...what about when they don't respond at all? I can understand not wanting to boot their hypocrite butt to the curb but...where do you draw the line? Or does anything go as long as you tithe? Do you offer them any alternatives or altematems? Or do you go merrily about your business and allow your church to be polluted in this way?

Could this be a way of saying Happy Birthday to a wonderful R&S contibutor? He helped me grow spiritually with a tap from that baby fist when I was having lack of trust in my fellow man. He told me if we are going to be afraid of every unfamiliar or contoversial person, the trolls win. He was right! HB, and thank you, Sips, for a reality check!

And I always try to make homemade old fashioned treats that were around during my childhood and that of my parents. Usually I have hand dipped carmel apples, homemade sugar cookies decorated in Halloween shapes, apple cider, Hot chocolate (homemade), homemade fudge, hand made chocolate covered various bonbons etc... Do you have any ideas for any others? Oh... I do popcorn balls too. Any one remember anything else from years ago?

I've heard some people and churches put it in the "dabbling with the occult category" along with spells and ouija boards. What do they believe is dangerous about it?

Romans 22:5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

Grace is God’s giving us something we cannot earn or deserve. According to Romans 11:6, “work” of any kind destroys grace—the idea is that a worker earns payment, while the recipient of grace simply receives it, unearned. Since salvation is all of grace, it cannot be earned. Faith, therefore, is a non-work. Faith cannot truly be considered a “work,” or else it would destroy grace.

Jehovah's witnesses do you feel the Holy Spirit or the force of God and what does it feel like.

Do other Christian who are not Jehovah's Witnesses also think they have felf the force of God?

The reason I am seperate JW's from other Christians is because the only time I felf this force I was studying with the JW's. I had quit smoking and remember been tempted. I picked up a cigarette and just as I was to light it I spit it out and went to the bathroom to pray, I felt joy come over me like I never felt before.

I quit studying with JW's and never became a JW for personal reasons but always remember that feeling.

Anyway, How do you know it is a force of God and not just your body creating these feelings.

Thanks.

If a God existed and according to the bible he wants us to follow his rules, believe and worship and praise him wouldn't that make him a narcissist? Would you want to believe in a God like that? Isn't that what a dictator does, Hitler, Castro, Husein? I don't see the difference?

So I know not all Christians believe animals other than humans have no soul, but to those of you who do, I don't know how you can possibly think of Heaven as any sort of paradise without animals.

I would be utterly miserable in a place without cats no matter if everything else I wanted was there. It wouldn't be the same as cats. They are my joy and what makes me happy, I love my cat more than any of my friends!

So, now I ask you, how does it feel when you think of a pet-less, so called, 'paradise?

P.S. If I ever wanted to be a Christian I'd be a mormon. They are more logical than the rest of you and do believe that all living things have souls.

Dogs are animals. As human beings we eat animals. We might not eat dogs but we do eat beef, chicken, pork, fish, and many other types of animals.
Is it not something wrong with the fact that some people care more about their dogs than they do about the homeless children on the street. Some people openly state that they would rather have a dog than a child.
Aren't children the blessing of life? Aren't animals what God gave to Adam to keep him company, busy, and occupied. Was not a human given to Adam because animals were not enough.
So, where in life have people grown to love animals more than they love their neighbors.
Think of Michael Vick. He is losing his freedom behind an animal. He killed dogs. Not people, dogs. How can Michael Vick lose his job, freedom, and respect by killing dogs and some man or officer across town gets respect for killing a person that they "thought" would harm them?
Why is the world becoming so passionate over dogs?
