Not if the person in charge is a proper Medium or Channeler, and knows the correct format and right things to stay.Otherwise keep away. Seances are not games. Unless experienced they can be as dangerous as using a Ouija board. I am an experienced Medium.Don't play in any area of the Occult. You can get seriously hurt-mentally.

Depends, I can answer you seriously if you add to the details who is doing it, Why, and How.

Mediums contact the deceased in the safest of ways, but people who "play" around with it are likely to get in trouble.
Seances are usually very "showy" and full of hollywood hype-You are better off paying to see an experienced medium who can give you a respectable and accurate reading whil ebeing in contact with your loved one.

Hopefully the person conducting it knows what they are doing because if not and they do not thank and return the spirit then it can attatch itself to other peole there whom it thinks can help them return. it is not a game and should be take very seriously.
