So I know not all Christians believe animals other than humans have no soul, but to those of you who do, I don't know how you can possibly think of Heaven as any sort of paradise without animals.
I would be utterly miserable in a place without cats no matter if everything else I wanted was there. It wouldn't be the same as cats. They are my joy and what makes me happy, I love my cat more than any of my friends!
So, now I ask you, how does it feel when you think of a pet-less, so called, 'paradise?
P.S. If I ever wanted to be a Christian I'd be a mormon. They are more logical than the rest of you and do believe that all living things have souls.

Midnight, I sure do. I can't see god, he has never done any favors for me, he doesn't make me laugh or coo at his cuteness.
And God doesn't sit at the edge of my bed like my dog and protect me either! Of course my pets are more important, duh!

Well you please take it easy, and chill. You couldn't be farthest from the truth, even if you tried. You are not the only one who love animals, and we don't hate animals.
We believe God created everything, and that includes animals. You don't have to believe in God, but at the very least try to talk with us, not at us. Then, we can have a mature discussion without attacks.
Thank you very much.
Dear,
If you don't believe in God, that means you don't believe in Heaven. Therefore, what difference does it make if they are going to heaven or not!

I'm a Christian and I believe God loves all creatures; big or small. Just because some Christians believe this you shouldn't say you won't pray to God. Why state that , you wont pray because of what other people say. What they believe or say doesn't matter...It is the relationship between you and God. Your own personal relationship. If I got upset evey time a fellow Christian said something I didn't agree with I would run away screaming. I believe that animals will be in heaven; but other people don't. That's their belief. But I'm not going to turn away from God because I disagree with someone. The relationship between God and you should out way what other people think. Agree to disagree.

I have read this so many times and yes they do have souls but not like ours. They are compared to Angels. When you cross over to the other side every pet that you have ever owned. they say all pets you have owned are the first ones to meet you and then your relatives are the second ones that meet you. Your pets love you unconditional. Yes, you are right, paradise without your beloved pets would not be paradise. My daughter is a Mormon, she loves her pets like they are family and treats them as though they are her children.

My wife agrees with you. She has this little dog a Chihuahua, that loves her and she loves him . This dog's soul is knit to her soul like contact cement . We are talking glued to one another. Now whether animals have an actual soul like ours or not, Im not sure. The Bible does not address it specifically that I know of. But this we know. God loves animals. He created them just like he created us and he cited the fact that there were much cattle in Nineveh as one of the reasons he changed his mind about destroying the city. So yes God loves animals and we also know that animals will be in the kingdom of God ( the millineal reign and/or heaven). The Bible says that the animals will all be vegetarian just like it was in the Garden of Eden. We will be able to pet lions, bob cats ,cougars, jaguars and tigers just like your beloved kitty you love so dearly now. Since you have a belief in the eternal soul , this is a very good truth as a beginning to bring you into the truth of kingdom of God where these big cats are going to be. Wheteher animals have souls are not they are definately going to be in heaven. Also the Bible does not say anything about any animals going to hell. So heaven is the place for animal lovers. Now if you think that I am trying to convert you to Christianity you are correct. God loves you just like he loves animals and he wants you in heaven with him and the animals . God loves you so much that he came to earth and died a horrible death so that you could be with him in heaven . So I appeal to you to seriously consider the things I have taken the time to relate to you here. God bless you and your love for your pet. I will pray that you make the right decision for you and if your cat has a soul , him as well . Source(s) Jonah 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

This is one of the reasons I left the the Christian faith.
Every animal has just as much soul as a human. Whatever that may be. I look forward to seeing my pets as much or more than relatives on the other side or on the next time around in mortality.
There are always religions that revere nature and accept that we are a part of nature.

I am a Christian and I do not believe that animals have souls but I do believe that there will be animals in Heaven. God doesn't need animals to die on earth so that they can come to Heaven I'm sure he has some there already that are perfect. And I do not hate animals.

Sweetheart you have issues! There will be animals in paradise I'm sure planning on swimming with whales when I get there. You are makeing yourself crazy with these questions. Oh and let me say that your question (this one) makes me mad! God hasen't done you any favors? So dying on the cross isn't a favor? Your alive ain't you? You have a cat that loves you don't you? You have friends and family don't you? If i were you I would take back what you said before God shows you just how much he blesses you!

I do not hate animals. I do not mistake them for humans either. I adore both my sweet labs, but they are still dogs. I protect, care for, and love them. I don't know if there will be animals in Heaven or not, that's up to God not me. I would hardly choose my faith based on a personal desire for my lovies to have a soul. I am sorry that this is so upsetting for you though.

Again, ignore these people "for they know not what they speak."
All animal lovers/pet owners will be reunited in the Afterlife as with all living creatures we loved during our lifetimes. Those who do not agree or cannot see are more to be pitied because they don't know the love and comfort of a beloved pet. How sad for them. And how unbelievably arrogant; more dogs (and other animals) than people deserve to go to heaven, that's the real irony...

Ex fundie myself. All life is sacred and should be treated as such. Empathy will not allow a person to not sense souls in all living things. Each of us is a cell of the greater whole consciousness. We don't need religion. We need knowledge, wisdom and understanding. We need to open ourselves to true infinite love. Animals have much to teach us about spirituality. We just need to listen. Wake up now.

I don't hate animals.
The Mormons use the same Bible as I do. Call them they will send you one.
1 Timothy 4 (KIng James Version)
1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Tell them you are wanting a King James Bible they will give you one free of charge.
