Don't people know that the book of revelation was NOT the last book chronogically written in the bible? It simply happens to be placed last. Revelations 22:18 refers to the scrolls on which Revelations was written, not to the whole bible.

I have no problem with people not believing in the Book of Mormon, but you should at least have a valid argument.

It is funny when people try to use that argument, however, using their own logic, we wouldn't be able to use anything after the Book of Deuteronomy because Moses said nearly the exact same thing.

Additionally, Revelations wasn't the last book chronologically. Those that canonized the Bible, felt like it fit the best there.

I have heard this so many times. Well, we have added nothing to the bible, or taken anything out of it, since the Book of Mormon is a totally separate book, so I just laugh at them and tell them they don't know what they are talking about. If we had taken things out of the bible, then our version would not have the same books as their bible does. The same with adding to the bible. There would be more books, or we would have taken the Book of Mormon and incorporated it into the bible directly.

I usually give people this site to explain things to them. It's really good, and tells how and why we haven't done anything to change the bible.

Good question by the way!!!!!!!

Amen! To say the least though, we have been warned that those who possess the truth will always be the butt of jokes and ridicule for what they believe. Just because some group of people in history decided at the behest of a PAGAN emperor to come up with what the world really believes doesn't mean that all that was contained in those books is all there is to the truth.
2 Ne. 29: 3-9
3 And because my words shall hiss forth—many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible.
4 But thus saith the Lord God: O fools, they shall have a Bible; and it shall proceed forth from the Jews, mine ancient covenant people. And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them? Yea, what do the Gentiles mean? Do they remember the travails, and the labors, and the pains of the Jews, and their diligence unto me, in bringing forth salvation unto the Gentiles?
5 O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, mine ancient covenant people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people.
6 Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?
7 Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth?
8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two enations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also.
9 And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure.
When Jesus said in the NT that there were other sheep that he had, and that he would bring them and there would be one fold and one shepard, it stands to reason that there would be other records.
However, let everyone believe "How Where and what they may...." Respect goes a long way, and unfortunately, it seems that there are some who choose to think that we aren't entitled to respect because we don't believe the same as them..... que sera, sera.

If you want to learn about the Book of Mormon and whether it's true or not, just read it and take the challenge in Moroni 10:3-5.

You mean they use Revelation to PROVE the Book of Mormon.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Well I don't know about using the book of Revelation to directly disprove the book of Mormon, but it is used a lot to discredit Mormon theology. Case it point. Mormon theology says there are thousands of planets ruled over by Mormon couples who have been eternally married and risen to Godhood. Whereas the book of Revelation clearly teaches there is only one God and He will live with all His people on a new created earth (heaven) forever. Another is the 3 Mormon heavens versus the book of Revelation teaching of only one.

I think people are curious, or they just like a good argument. (Bible Bash) I have a strong testimony about the truthfulness Book of Mormon. It isn't a replacement of the Bible it only goes hand in hand with the bible to testify of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon does a pretty good job of disproving itself. I've never felt the need to rely on the logical fallacy you cite.

Which book was written after it? John wrote it after the other apostles had already died and after his own gospel which was written before his exile....

EDIT: btw I don't disagree with your premise so much as your argument. I believe what John is warning against is adding or subtracting from his prophecy, not the Bible. Still, adding to the Bible isn't a good idea either.
