I'm not suidicdal, just so you know. It's just that, I find the idea of dying and FINALLY figuring out what happens after death very intriguing...so would say that, if death was near, I would welcome it with open arms...is this weird?

Well I'm not obsessing about it, it's just that I mentioned it today in another question, and someone emailed me(thank you for that btw...it let me know atleast someone cares) ...

But I mean, I don't think it's really THAT big of a deal to not fear death, you know?

Ok...so maybe I stated it wrong.

It's not like I'm here, sitting at my computer thinking "maybe if I sit here long enough, the computer will give me cancer and I'll die" or "maybe if I sit just a little too close to the fire, I'll catch on fire and die" you know? It's not like I'm TRYING to die lol...I just don't fear death, and would openly welcome it.

no, minetta, I didn't. I said I wasn't afraid of death like some people claim religious people are...

Then someone emailed me about it...

and I was like, "do I have a problem?" and then asked this one...

It's not the same.

We all want that answer, so I can't call it sick and twisted.
I already have a darn good idea of what will happen when I pass the mortal into immortality.
If you also know Heavenly Father's plan for you, then I would spend your energy differently:
Every night, you should embrace the idea of serving your fellow man and being a living example of Christ's teachings and love.
Personally, I can't wait to take a small step each day to make this world a better place. I don't want this life to end prematurely, but I have no fear of what awaits.

No, it's not at all bad. Some people will think it is weird, but in reality we all experience death... and it is a high curiosity. I am not in the least afraid of death, what bothers me moreso is suffering, or being kept alive as a vegetable - or worse - so that my family's finances go to complete debt for a whole lot of pain and emotional and mental suffering for THEM. I have a Living Will to make sure NO ONE does that to me. NO ONE!

I know in my heart I will survive physical death. I have always "known" it even as a little girl. I have never been quite able to identify with people so afraid to die except for the problems of pain and suffering as I described above.

Anyway, there is a lot of stuff to consider when death is near, and even long before. But moreso, it is really important to study about all the different things that could happen after death ... not only just one thing, but all the things presented over time about that.

You might find it fascinating to consider that some time after the human race has evolved more fully to follow God's plan, that death will no longer be - that instead "fusion" will occur.

For now, death is a necessary part of graduating to the next step to eternity, but it is not something that will always be the fate of man... check this out in the link below:

But, I caution you, only reading this part will not really prepare you intellectually what it is really all about, it is best to start with the beginning of the book in the Foreword, to which I have also posted a link.

Enjoy... and, again, no, you're not weird... it's perfectly natural!

Not if you're a really old coot. But if you aren't, then yeah! You're wasting too much thought on dying and not enough on spending your life well! lol

Actually, you COULD call it simply not being afraid of death, like I say. It doesn't scare me, but I try to make a difference in some little way every day so that I've done 365 cool things every year. Add them up and by the time I'm ready to go ... it would have been a life well spent.

Stay cool.

Some might say it is twisted... Not I though.. I do not fear death, and I know that I will die. Sometimes I do look forward to it myself sometimes. Though I do cherish life, there is something that is meaningful in my eventual death, I see what is next. I am not looking forward to death, but the knowledge that comes after it, if there is any. You are not weird in my eyes.

not really. one time i was driving and i almost got in a wreck (nothing actually happened) but when it happened things were kinda going in slow motion, and i literally thought "oh my gosh, i'm going to die"
the weirdest part - it didn't even phase me. it didn't scare me at all. it was just kinda like well dang if this is my time..
you know?
so you're not crazy.
i think part of it is our belief. what we believe is that after death is going to be a really cool experience, so we do not fear it as others do.

I dont think it is sick or twisted! I will welcome death with open arms also! If it is my time than so be! I have no time to read other peoples comments on this topic because most would find it weird. Most do not understand, most are ignorant... oh well, their time will come also...

That's why I don't like Christianity. It's too morbid.
All they think about is death- everything they do, their entire religion is based off of what may happen after they die.

And no, it's not weird. It's a natural curiosity- what happens after death? And then Judeo-Chrisitian religions were invented to explain this, among many other, natural phenomena.

I think more than anything, you should find something you want to live for so much, that you fear death. Nothing is more terrifying; nothing is more satisfying.

Well wouldnt you want ASSURANCE OF LIFE **before** you actually die? I mean - you don't it to come as a complete surprise would you?

Jhn 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

God put you here for a reason - to serve Him in the here and now. You best get busy, don't you think?

Everybody dies sooner or later, so there's no need to rush or anticipate it. Just live your life and wait your turn. Rest assured the Grim Reaper will tap your shoulder when your time is up.

I get where you're coming from and I don't think it is weird, I can't wait to die, but only if I live my life to its fullest so I can recieve the blessings of eternal life.
I can't wait to die yes, but I also love life.
